- Remember when Bayern Munich replaced Julian Nagelsmann with Thomas Tuchel last March because they were worried he wouldn’t win the treble?
That decision has backfired. Big time.
After suffering three consecutive losses, the first time for the club in 9 years, Bayern’s title hopes are shattered. And Tuchel has become the first casualty in the club’s efforts to reverse their fortunes, officially announcing that the coach would leave his position at the end of this season.
But how did it come to this? How did Bayern Munich implode under Thomas Tuchel?

8-1 🤩 The boys are BACK! (Almost 8-2 too, Barca fans having flashbacks)
Yeah almost 9-1 as well
Madrid fans having flashbacks
Counter-facts:
- In the Bundesliga they only lost one game in the whole first half of the season. 2 draws.
- CL - Group one draw, 5 wins, and now they have comfortably beaten Lazio at home
After 25 games last season: 52 Points (after last game of Nagelsmann)
After 25 games this season: 57 Points
If Leverkusen wouldn´t be so powerful, Tuchel would be fine and could work in peace. And Bayerns loss _in_ Leverkusen wouldn´t have been such a shock.
This is mostly hype and hysteria and the fact that for the first time for more than a decade someone else is dominating the league.
Couldn’t agree more, mate! In fact, in the beginning, a small part of me thought that they could finish unbeaten. Then there’s Leverkusen 🤷
But at the end of the day, Bayern’s board and pressure is relentless. That 5-1 loss to Frankfurt earlier in the season had already highlighted flaws in their gameplan, but the 3 consecutive losses was what sealed Tuchel’s fate.
@@FrontPageFootball They really were shocked by the game in Leverkusen, in which they didn´t have a single goal scoring oportunity and it broke their natural confidence.
The hype and hysteria was coming from media and fans and also from the inside.
As a Leverkusen-fan i was so frustrated after the first half of the season, with Leverkusen playing a season like never before, but Bayern just keeping track and actually playing their best season since Guardiola has left.
I see the fault mainly in the weird way the team is put together and that Tuchel didn´t get the players he wanted. Even though Kane is scoring like nobody else, I think they would have been a better team overall, if they had spend the 110 million euros more effectively.
The roster is totally imbalanced.
Also very important, don´t know if this is noticed outside of Germany:
Sky and Bild are having their personal vendeta against Tuchel. BOY, DO THE KEEP BEATING ON HIM!!!
With the high point of shipping a anonymous source telling a Tuchel - quote from inside the changing room which was so obviously fake and harmful.
Also, yes Tuchel could do better with media generally.
Tuchel wouldn't be in Peace lol, bayern are loosing to 3rd division, bottom table clubs and not to mention their horrendous gameplay, no style of play
One of the best squad in the world, bought Kane 1 of the best striker but the team has 0 style of play, no identity. Keeps changing formation shifting positions hoping that it will work. Tactical innovator my ass. Chelshit Ucl win was a fluke with shitloads of luck and antifootball tactics that was already being used before by other managers.
This is what baffles me. When Thomas Tuchel won Champions League once, he was hailed as a tactical genius, but when Zinedine Zidane first won his Champions League medal, they branded him as "lucky", they still branded him as just "a great motivator, but not a great tactician" even after he won 3, in a row. Tuchel won 1, and he was hailed as Pep 2.0, wtf?
Yeah, that is weird. I still don't think Zidane is tactically better than Tuchel but the narratives are strange.
Poor Julian. He must be laughing his ass off.
How they treated him was mad disrespect, I think he was notified of the decision while on vacation too. Anyways, karma.
@@FrontPageFootball a vacation he was not allowed to take and right after the worst game of the season with a bayern team that looked dead on the pitch.
Love your videos as usual🎉 super underrated
Who's here after Bayern's 8-1 win today? 😂
That escalated quickly 😅
They were really motivated today
@@antonheidenreich7053 If only more goals = more points! 😂
Well this isnt age very well
Whose here after Bayern lost to Heidenheim?
If Leverkusen wasn’t playing such a freak season everything would be fine. But I guess these kind of headlines just click well
As a Bayern fan, you gotta hate the overdemanding board. They sacked Nagelsmann for a manager who just experienced UCL success, then kept him longer whilst having way worse performances. I guess its karma tho.
Just hurts more when you realize they paid Leipzig 25m euros for him. Felt like a backstab honestly!
Fantastic video essay 👏 All eras come to an end. After 11 successive years of championships, it was bound to happen eventually (much to the amusement of everyone else except Bayern fans🥶).
Their dominance should've ended if only bvb didn't slip up at the last minute.
@@Ichihopper01 That was the biggest choke in football history imo
@@FrontPageFootball even worse, they choke it while I was attending my cousin wedding on the same day.
@@Ichihopper01 Are you a fan of theirs? 😂 Funnily, I’m a Bayern fan and on that final matchday weekend I was in the middle of a trip going around Czechia and Bavaria but didn’t plan on going to Munich until Monday seeing as I thought we REALLY wouldn’t win it. Turns out, they did, and I missed the title celebrations they do on the Sundays at the Marienplatz!
@@FrontPageFootball yeah mostly, just want to let you know that back in 2021, I call bayern the teikoku of Germany. If you watch inazuma eleven, you'll know what I mean.
Dortmund legend. Ruined Bayern from within
Heidenheim 3 - 2 Bayern 😂
Does Bayern still have a chance at either the Champions League or Bundesliga?
Video isn’t giving all facts. Bayern hasn’t been that bad this season it’s just the fact the Leverkusen have been unreal. They’re in a ucl semi final…
Bring him to Manchester United then so he can shit on rashford 😂
Nothing imploded, it’s just hard to compete with Leverkusen, Tuchel isn’t even a bad manager, Bayern are on course to get more points than their previous two season.
bro, stop being delusional. Tuchel is shit with his tactics. I saw this when Tuchel was at Chelsea. After Chelsea win UCL, everything went downfall from there
@@johnlau6749you talking about when boehly took over and didn’t give tuchel a say in any transfers?
@@eclipseelite5710 bro, even before Boehly took over, Tuchel's Chelsea already at went downhill. Like I said after Chelsea's 2021 UCL win, Tuchel's Chelsea went downhill and become far too predictable
I just read the title and say it wrong. The fact that Bayern München is now so bad, they owe it to themselves, that's not Tuchel's fault. Players with too long amounts that cost too much, decision-makers who have made the wrong decisions. The only thing Tuchel did wrong, he was critical and communicated it openly.
They aren’t “bad now” that’s the thing. Bayern is on course to get more points than their previous two seasons. Give credit to the manager of the other club.
except they doing better than last season in league... what a trash video
