It wasn't just trump. He couldn't have and didn't do this alone. Believing that gives him way too much credit. If trump has proven anything, it’s that he is craven and not a strategic thinker. It's been mostly forgotten that at the time Putin hacked the DNC, he also hacked the RNC. The RNC hack didn't receive anywhere near the reporting, primarily because Putin used his WikiLeaks asset to dump the DNC material, including Hillary's emails. None of the RNC material was dumped. You have to wonder why. It's easy to imagine Putin kept it as kompromat. It's been clear for years that trump has compromising material on Lindsay Graham, and that he's been using it. It’s easy to imagine trump got whatever he has on Graham and the Republicans from putin. Hopefully, someday the truth will come to light.

Fast-forward to today, and we see the GOP held hostage to that very same "base": moderate, sensible Republicans can't win a primary against far-right MAGA candidates, and ignorant loons like MTG and her ilk are being sent to Congress instead. The party was set up perfectly for a faux-populist con man like Trump. I suppose we're lucky that he's as dumb, crude, and buffonish as he is, and that his evil is purely incidental. A smart, suave, "evil genius" version of Trump would be a true nightmare.

I believe they should revisit swing states, AND add Montana & WVA (to turn Senate seats purple), Alaska (who's too often ignored), maybe sandwich Iowa &/or Texas in between two "friendlier" states, PLUS rally in FLORIDA! ... Late night banter and morning game shows have been a saving grace for me it’s an uplifting thing to see people having fun, laughing, and interacting with each other in a positive way and not feeling threatened by someone else’s happiness. The cohesiveness Kamala and Walz are bringing to our country is the lifeline we’ve been needing for so long. I’m sick and tired of the GOP dredging the American people through the muck and hatred. I’ve also been sleeping better the last couple weeks .
