Regarding barns being red: Long ago farmers would seal their wood barns with Linseed oil, they would mix in Iron Oxide to prevent mold and rot, this why all those old old barns are still red as they rot into the earth.

That is actually a four head mill. I worked with one when I was an apprentice in Kansas in the 1990s.
There is another one in a field in north western Nebraska. It is on the north west side of the pass and just south of the town of Crawford Nebraska. It’s at an old abandoned homestead.

I'm a Jeff fan. I don't care what he's doing. Well, it's always better when he's laughing. But I also love to hear him teach! 💋💋💋. Jeff makes dirt & rock sound interesting. ❤️❤️❤️

Wow just think of all the stories and westerns that were told about the Comstock mine and load back in the day. Very cool to see it being preserved.
    Great history for sure!

Jeff, my friend, this was so cool. One thing I have noticed on many of your videos is your music. FANTASTIC. Where do You find it? It is so cool. Take care and many blessings to you and your wife. DFP

Boy am I a dummy! I see I asked this question at an earlier date. That's what happens when I look at videos after my bedtime, about 9:30pm. Ok I'm old and go to bed early. Again, many blessings to both You and the Mrs. DFP
