My school had its own library, and in 2nd grade I rented out I book. More specifically, we were forced to rent out 1 book every week. A month later my mom received an email. The email was a reminder to return the book and give a fee of about $20. I never returned the book to this day. Also, I switched schools. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. Even if I did pay a fee of $20, it will be worth the story

I was a late child and learned to read in 1st grade, and magic treehouse was the first book I ever read all the way through, I felt so accomplished and asked my teacher to send a text to my mom. (good book series: wings of fire)

Fun fact:
My library charges a £0.20 fine per day a book is overdue, excluding Sundays (the library is shut on Sunday), and it can't go above £5.
After a while, the book will automatically get marked as lost, and you'll get charged the value of the book, which is usually not that much. I have a book from the PANDEMIC and I only was charged £8 for it.
