When I first heard Dimash 5 years ago, I couldn't believe my ears either. I was tempted to look behind my laptop like a little kid to see if there was another singer hiding there.🤣 From that day on, not a day goes by that I don't hear Dimash.
This song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight.
The best comment from a Dear under this video: „If you are having a bad day, remember, someone had to sing after him.“ 🤣
That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.
Despite Dimash's planned brief presence, his name was intended to be symbolic and understandable to the public. Dimash was given the Chinese name Dimashi and the 3 syllables were assigned in Chinese characters: ⭐Di - achievement ⭐Ma - precious stone ⭐Shi - dream, wish.
This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to CZcams ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. won).

👉 In January 2021 Dimash was one of the few foreigners who has been asked to attend the live online show marking the inauguration of the President of U.S.A. Joe Biden. He is here as a representative of his country Kazakhstan and he is also here for his Dears from all over the world. This is the first time in the 67-year history of the Sister Cities and the first time since relations between the United States and the concentration camp began (almost 30 years ago) that an artist from Kazakhstan has attended such an event.

Its main program promotes Slavic music and the majority of participants are artists from the former Soviet Union and other Eastern Bloc countries. You have barely even begun to scratch the surface of Dimash's talent and ability. He has continued to hone his skills and to fine-tune and perfect his already unbelievable abilities even more. Avoid any performance from "The World's Best." The show in L.A. was utterly disgraceful. The production team edited and cut all of Dimash's performances down to 2 minutes and cut out his Kazakh song for no reason.

To let you know a little more information I like a lot of people having following for almost 3 years he is considered to be the best in the world at this time there is no one that can hold a candle to dimash! And one or two more things a lot of people are trying to get into being a reactionist. And a lot of them when they start listening to him they cannot believe what they are hearing and they have to for some reason shut off the performance when we your audience are just getting into it they shut it off they start talking then they turn it on then he does something more spectacular they have to shut it off and they ruin it for everybody and we start searching for other channels that have them intelligence enough to view and listen to the performance and its entirety and when it is time to talk at least you may know what you're talking about because of what he can do like the wise man said listen and you shall see

Very few people notice how he uses his hands to direct his voice. Good job!
You should go back to the beginning of the Dimash journey when he performed this song on the Chinese Singer competition in 2017. Even if you don’t react to them all, please listen to them, you will love them. He just puts something special into those performances. Use Gloria Wu’s channel as she has English subtitles and the backstories to those that are based on true events like Daybreak. Also she has tweaked something so you don’t get the videos blocked. Autumn Strong is my favourite even though he has performed it better in concert, there is just something special about this version. Also his concert versions of All By My Self are spectacular, and also is cover of Hello is awesome. Another extra special performance is Love Is Like A Dream but watch the one where he is sitting down in a stool in a burgundy velvet jacket. And when you get to Olímpico (Ogni Pietra) make sure you use the video that says Dimash and Igor Krutoy. The sound is epic

Hi, Ella. I said it a few times on reactions elsewhere that with Damish's stage performances, it is necessary to take note of his facial expressions and hand movements as part of the act. He didn't have many "tricks" in this performance because it is necessary in this song. The music accompaniment and the lyrics do not ask for that. However, the overall performance was as good,in fact it was perfect as one can expect of Damish.
