I had a lot of Gibbs and Ziva feels from the season 17 premiere. This was my way of letting them out. One of my favorite father/daughter duos. They both have been through hell.

I love how when he said "I get it in my head you were alive and then out there looking and it turns out your not I would have" and then you put the pic of Gibbs with a gun to his head, its what everyone thinks he was gonna say lol, well he barely survived without her lol
I'm glad you liked that. Honestly, we've seen Gibbs go through so much loss, that him handling more is too much for him. He nearly killed himself after Shannon and Kelly, as we see with that clip. We saw him struggle with Kate. He was egging Svetlana on to kill him in Jenny's study after Jenny died, and he would have been shot had Mike not saved him. Ziva would have just been too much for him to face, hence why we see him practically ignore it after she 'died' because he had to block it out to survive.
@@fromstonetohallows3969 yeah definitely but not that's its a competition but Ziva has lost alot more (off screen)
Cause at 23 when she came to NCIS she had already lost her mother, her sister, lots and lots of workers and friends killed with mossad and all, then in she show she loses rivkin, her father and in the new ones Adam, where as Gibbs was in his 50's when Ziva started NCIS so he had like double the time to add losses, he had like an extra 20 years of his life, and he had only lost his wife and daughter and then kate and probably a few marines....not saying losing your wife and daughter wouldn't hurt of course it would but Ziva has lost more and she still said "I would have lost you a thousand times if that's what it took" its so sweet, and yes Gibbs loved Ziva but while she was there, other than the odd cute moment with a hug or a kiss to the head or calling her his daughter...he never acted bothered about her
@@bellaboo1993 Good points on Ziva. She has experienced a tremendous amount of loss. I've always thought Gibbs and Ziva share a really special bond due to the understanding of their traumas and loss. I think Gibbs loved Ziva very deeply, and he knew to not be clingy or acting constantly bothered about her because he knew she didn't need that kind of fuss and overprotection. He knew she could handle herself and would come to him when she needed to.

You captured the premiere so perfectly. But most importantly... you captured Gibbs and Ziva's relationship perfectly.
You're right, they have been through a lot, and this video really connects and expounds and intensifies their emotions for each other very well; I actually did get quite emotional watching this.
I love how simple it came out effects-wise, and I love the voice inputs as well. Gibbs finally mustering up the courage to tell Ziva why he never looked for her is heart-wrenching. You did a really great job, dear friend.
