To all parents: go to your child's school and tell them that they'll be prosecuted if they put these ideas in your child's head. It's what I did, and now all lessons of PHSE are passed through me before my daughter sees it.
Well, we didn't enter that territory until high school, in the UK and into our teens in General Science lessons so we were probably, about 14 or 15. Of course, many or most of us actually knew something already, sometimes very awkwardly. Eventually, we were shown a film as part of a lesson and our 'education' took it from there.
Shouldnât be taught to any age group. Schools should focus on academia, not unscientific illogical theories.

There was an incident either last year, or the year before, of a support teacher shouting abuse at a pupil for not accepting pronouns. Luckily, the pupil recorded it, but the teacher wasn't even punished.

@bereal6590 The tape recording may have been a debate between a British student & supply teacher referring to a Tik Tok video of something in the states regarding a factual (or possibly fictional) scenario where a child identified as a cat. The onus of my point is the reaction of the supply teacher, who's stance on anyone not accepting such a pronoun should be verbally abused.

In 2016 I was in year 6. Our head teacher at the time was a woman who was married to another woman, and had 2 kids. She didnât throw it in our faces, we werenât forced to be gay, she actually banned us from having âboyfriends and girlfriendsâ. We werenât taught about gender, we werenât taught about sexuality, we just did maths, English and the occasional humanity subject in the afternoon.
One kid was spouting off about her being unnatural, obviously repeating something heâd heard at home. My straight (sad I have to clarify this) year 6 teacher heard of this, sat us down and told us that tolerance is a core British Value.
She told us that at another school she taught at there was a child who had been adopted by 2 men out of foster care, she didnât go into detail but she alluded to the fact that he had been mistreated by his biological parents. She told us that this boy was happy, safe and taken care of under his new fatherâs and that it isnât that big of a deal.
As far as I know, only 2 kids in our year of 80 pupils realised they were lgbt and came out. Thatâs it.

My kids donât have a smart phone and they only have access to the internet if they use my computer. We do have a TV but myself and the Mrs can see exactly what is being watched.
I do worry about what they are being taught at School. It only takes 1 woke teacher to subject the kids to their gender ideology. We have to be aware as parents and if you are vigilant about it, you will be able to control it for the most part.

also we were never shown any explicit material we were shown the old age appropriate educational videos about our bodies and what was healthy and normal and when we reached the ages old enough were taught very carefully and in an appropriate way about just the ole chesnut when two people love each other and are safe and that was all we needed.

Social media is the issue. All this is doing is putting pressure on Educational Institutions to counter what children are learning online, but it is not providing any authority or means of doing so effectively.
It doesn't really matter if it has been happening or not, (I discuss and ask my children if these types of things are taught in their school, and they are not at the moment) the fact that these rules are being put in place is going to stop it from happening.

Being gay or trans is NOT the norm, as we all know (myself included as a gay person) we are the minority. Heterosexual and "cis" are the norm and hopefully will always remain that way. Why do we need to confuse a whole class of kids about a topic that will likely never effect them? If it comes up for a child, consult the parents and get the kid into therapy.

after being called out by California Governor Gavin Newsom for apparently supporting legal child marriage for kids as young as 12, Missouri Republican Mike Moon doubled down on his controversial stance at least when it comes to minors getting married to other minors. Mike Moon voted no on making it illegal for kids to be married to adults at the age of 12 if their parents consented to it.
