arena b seems kinda redundant in my opinion. The notion behind arena b is that its difficult to move quickly in water, so heavier slower guys would have the advantage over the smaller faster guys. But the heavier slower guys would rather go to arena c then b so why have arena b to begin with?

I feel like he just didn't know how to get down and dirty within the rules to wrench the ball away from her, so he didn't end up exerting as much energy as he could have if he really, really attacked it. Like she was, huge respect to her. But being surprised in the outcome is totally valid just the weight class difference alone in most match ups would tip the scales in a certain direction.
