On this video, I recap the events of Episode 52 from Mazinger Z (1972). It's very rare for me to be invested in an episode from this old series, but this one in particular got me making a whole video out of it. It's not that I find the episode to be good. I only find that what they did in the episode is something of a missed opportunity for the series.
If it were up to me, they should've made the events of the episode make an impact on the characters in the end. But apparently, they don't do that, which is frustrating for me as a writer and as a general viewer. Find out what I'm talking about by watching the video the whole way through.

This episode was directed by Yuugo Serikawa, he made the best episodes in the show imo, episodes 1, 32, 38, 41, 48, 52, 57, 62 and 67. Sadly did not go on to work on Great Mazinger.
