I know what I am asking is pretty huge but if you could implement an option for linking the documents or files inside another for zettlekasten style note taking, then Nebo will be unbeatable.
In Obsidian, Roam Research etc like PKM systems apps a word in a note can link to another note. This feature combined with the already available handwriting and searching the handwritten note feature is gonna make Nebo a banger productive app. Cause handwriting notes is still the best way to remember stuff compared to typing.

@@neboapp I also think that if Nebo had the same PKM style that Obsidian had, that it would be unbeatable. Until then, I will have to stick with Obsidian + Excalidraw instead. But I will keep myself updated! :)
Nebo has improved so much since I first got it! Thank you so much for all the updates! It is almost my number 1 app taking tool, as I primarily use it for the freeform pages. Is there somewhere we can view the roadmap Nebo has for 2023?
I don't really care for the flashy features like stickers and templates but more so the features that don't break your workflow
Please please consider these features
1. Favorites tool bar that you can drag and move
2. Ability to change pen size without having to click on the pen first If no favorite tool bar added or ability to add diff pens with diff size to favorite bar
3. Ability to edit shapes/lines after snapping with the pen & without having to tap it again with your fingers to resize or straighten + ability to rotate objects and written text
Extras
1. Dotted/Dashed style pens
2. A fix for resizing written text that doesn't smoosh or change the thickness of the text when you decrease or increase the size. Especially if you wrote in a thicker pen size, when downsizing it with the lasso it will make it unreadable

Just bought your app and it's truly amazing. Planning on using it for uni in the future. However, I agree with users that say that it needs gestures like undo-redo by tapping with two fingers simultaneously and also it lacks dashed/dotted lines that are really coming in handy when drawing schemes. Guess you're working on it already. But honestly the app is amazing, I love the math feature 'cause I'm planning on using it for scientific subjects and it seems like no other Android app offers this option. Keep up the good work!!

Nebo suggestions:
I write only suggestions on the potentially adjustable stuff (the (really) good things are neglected).
1) A quick "screenshot" selecting the region I want with the pencil would be life-changing in my opinion: if I'm working in a document and I want to copy and paste only a portion from a slide in an imported PDF, whose content is selected by me shaping the "screenshot" in the same way stickers apps do when someone has to extract a sub-image/sticker from a picture, would be the best;
2) Thanks for implementing the extraction of words from PDF, but it's still not possible doing the same thing with the handwritten words written using other apps for note-taking, in an imported PDF in Nebo;
3) Sometimes the side of my hand sometimes is recognized, during the writing, as a pressing finger, even changing in the settings the way I write;
4) A better math-conversion would be wonderful, especially when using the “f” for a function (for a reason, my f is not recognized very often). Moreover, a conversion in a latex format of a math region using, for example, a system in which I write the formulas on the left and, for each formula, what they represent on the right, would be beautiful. The implementation of both math and text is not consented unfortunately;
5) Recognition of (single) greek letters in the Document section;
6) Audio to text converter, in a way you can record the audio but it is converted only when you want.

Nebo is probably the best app that i have ever used for university notes. Also I can write in Greek which is fantastic. The only thing that needs to be improved is the collections. It would be fantastic if there were folders to organise better your collections because when you have more than 20 collections it starts to get a bit difficult to organise your notes. I use it on my tablet, smartphone and desktop pc. It is a fantastic app!

There no option to export the document with the background in black in Nebo. Whyyyy? 😭😭😭😭 That’s such a big disadvantage. Or is there a way? And I just didn’t found it yet?
Was thinking the same. If only the team could add black as an option in the background colour options, would be a great save. I really would have used Nebo as my main app, if it wasn’t for it not having the back background.
Common y’all that’s crucial if you all are aiming to get users that use it constantly. Many use the back templates. Who in the world even use white for long term projects.

I have Nebo 5 (full version) and cannot do several things shown in this video.
The one quite annoying thing for me: Lists seem to only be possible for typed (or transformed) text, but maybe I am simply doing it wrong - so I‘d love to see a newer video showing how Nebo has changed since version 4.
The most annoying thing for me is the fact that the two-fingers-tap is NOT a „back“-gesture. This gesture is so widely used that it‘s almost an automatic thing to do. It would be great if you implemented that.
Besides minor stuff irritating me I think Nebo is a brilliant program to work with. I recommend it to almost everybody who wants to start taking notes digitally.

@@neboapp I think I already wrote a feedback(-ticket…?) - never got an answer.
So I have a few suggestions for this app. I use a surface go 3. So idk if this is gonna be any different depending on the type of tablet used.
1.) so let’s say I draw a line where I draw and hold to make a straight line, and I put points on the line with a different colored pen, the line should not go over the ink. So if I draw a line on a grid and I mark a point with a pink colored ink, the pink colored ink should shade over the straight line, not below it… I hope that makes sense… idk how else to explain it… basically the line shouldn’t go over the ink…
2.) there should be a way to disable scratch to delete on this app. I did see a post online saying they were working on this. I don’t know if they still are. This is very frustrating because in case you’re shading on a line, like in math when I do inequalities and I graph inequalities on a number line, anytime I shade on the line, the line gets erased. And there should be an option to disable that. But there’s not… and it would be great if that could be added.
3.) any time I do separate fractions and the line is straight, for some reason, the line is drawn over the whole expression on top… so for example… if I were to say 2+1/6, sometimes the app reads it as (2+1)/6 w/o parentheses of course but it’s not the same as 2 + 1/6… I don’t know why it does that.. there should be a way for the application to differentiate between types of fractions instead of drawing the whole line over different added or subtracted fractions…
4.) lastly, I wish there was a laser pointer on this app…. It would be beneficial in case you wanna point to different areas of whatever you’re writing.
Other than this I don’t think I have any other complaints. The app is very good. I love how nice the pens look when you write and it feels like you’re writing on a real notebook. It is a very nice app that I personally love. I just think it could have more potential.

Hey, thanks for the great app. I just bought it and I am nearly completely happy with it.
The only things missing for me are :
1) Adding pages
2) Diffrent lines for background in documents. Now there are only lines but checkered or blank options would be really nice.
3) Import PDF sites into a document and adding pages to PDF documents.
4) Merge documents inside the app without using export
5) A nice game changer would be a scanner option in the app and add the scanned pages into a document.
All those options would make the app to the best writing app especially for Android 👍
And one more little thing...I have Xiaomi Pad 6 and the Smart Pen buttons are not supported :(

Can't believe that this app does not have a 'fill' option and if you export something when in Dark mode even with 'background colour' selected - black in my case with white text it simply turns everything that was black into white and everything that was white turns to black. Fundamental stuff guys and for goodness sake, let us create our own background colours! I do like the app but these issues cripple it for me and I have paid for the full thing.

i think highligher option works properly to highlight the text created by handwriting but while highlighting the pdf text its actullay faded the original text of pdf . please works with it . i got this problem in ipad

adding zoom in out and lock function in everything will be so much comfort

,making transparency of the layer adjustable

Its been long time, this is great app but lacks must have feature like.

2. Audio recording ( along with replay writing)

Switched from OneNote. There is a lot to improve on syncing to the desktop. Onenote is best on that aspect.

Now, you can easily access the video and utilize the CZcams feature for captions and subtitles in multiple languages.
Simply locate the video and follow these steps:
Click on the settings (gear) icon.
Select Subtitles/CC.
Choose the "Auto Translate" option.
A list of available languages will appear. Select your desired language.

Translation: i start writing in English or Spanish and then translate. I don’t use one language I use two. The App asked me to choose one language but I wanted to choose two. The App should offer more than one language option at a time.

I purchased the full version but I have multiple comments 1st I noticed a recurrent lagging during insertion/ deleting blank page with app crash 2nd sensitivity to palm while using smart pen for writing is poor and causes repeated quit the app 3rd poor smart recognition of my hand writing to convert it to text 4th lagging while moving between pages or using the back action arrow 5th not supporting Arabic language 6th writing position with pen is not showing in my menu

I go to change the background in Nebo and only have dark color options. How do I get out of dark mode???? There's no option for a white background in settings.

Nebo offers the functionality to import a PDF for annotation, layer annotations onto the PDF, and insert blank pages within the document for additional space. These pages provide features similar to the Board, including handwriting recognition, precise shapes, and text conversion, albeit within a constrained size on a page within the PDF.
The Board, serving as a versatile canvas for idea generation, is particularly suited for activities like mind mapping and brainstorming. It's important to note that Nebo's architecture currently does not support direct PDF import into the Board (Note page).
Integrating such a feature requires more than just development; it necessitates a powerful device with substantial RAM (16 to 32GB for optimal use) to effectively handle simultaneous usage of a PDF and Canvas. This demanding functionality may not be feasible on medium-range devices equipped with 6GB or 8GB of RAM.

Jumping to a page by clicking on a hyperlink in a PDF: Unfortunately, this feature is not currently available in our app. However, we understand its importance and are actively researching ways to incorporate this functionality into our app inside the same PDF file in a feature update around October/November.

Nebo is a very good program, but it has a series of bugs. When you zoom in with two fingers, the page number changes and disappears. When you write letters with a dot pen, a very small dot is written that is hard to see و If an option to change the size and transparency of the pen is added manually, it will be better like Samsung Note, and in the end, Nebu's highlighters are not good at all.If you add note like Samsung highlighters, that means add color and 3 different modes, Nebo will become the most complete program, thank you.

I like this app a lot since I downloaded it, but is there anyway you would be able to put pdfs into a normal note taking page, like if you upload a powerpoint instead of it being in pdf where you can only annotate on the actual slides, have it in notes where you are able to have extra room to write next to the pdf pages instead of on them.
In fact any file you import will be in PDF mode then what we are working is to add options to add content inside of the PDFs (handwriting with conversion, or add spaces to add notes) this will be available beginning of 2024. Thanks for your patience.

Hi, I recently bought a Lenovo Tab M11 with Nebo "premium" preinstalled (I can do infinite notes, synchronize my data etc.). However, when I installed Nebo on my phone and logged in my account, I could not find any of my notes and I also couldn't synchronize them cause it said I haven't paid the full version even though I have it just on a different device. I wanted to take notes in my tablet and visualize them in my PC in real time using the app, but I am not sure if I have to buy the full version in the other devices too. How can I solve this problem?

To answer your question, Apple, Google, and Microsoft are separate companies with independent app stores. Purchasing an app on one platform (such as the Apple App Store) does not grant access to the same app on other platforms (such as the Windows Store or Google Play). Each store has its own licensing system, and these licenses are not shared across platforms. This is a standard practice for any one-time purchase app, and we do not have control over it.
If you purchase Nebo on both Android and iOS, you can sync your notes between the two platforms using a cloud service like Dropbox.

Note Page: This is your canvas for free-form ideation. You can jot down thoughts by hand, import images, and annotate them. The lasso tool allows you to select and convert handwritten text into digital format. Plus, you can create perfect shapes just by keeping the pen on the screen. While this page doesn't offer math recognition, you can easily export your content as a PDF, PNG, or SVG.
Document Page: Structured note-taking finds its home on this page. You can also import and annotate images. Once done, you can export your work as a Text file, PDF, or Word document.

I have it on my samsung tablet and for some reason it seems to be the only app with not the best palm rejection? there is also no option to hide the task bar making the back and home buttons easily clickable! I recently examined the specifications of the OnePlus Pad it has 8GB RAM (this is great). it remains ambiguous whether the provided Stylo Oneplus Pen is an active or capacitive stylus. This is a critical detail as an active pen would seamlessly integrate with Nebo, providing palm rejection capabilities for a more fluid writing experience. Conversely, a capacitive pen, while functional, does not offer these advanced features and would mimic handwriting with your finger.
Additionally, Nebo allows you to import images directly from your library to enhance your notes. However, please note that it currently doesn't support the drag-and-drop functionality.

Hello, my device is surface pro7, after using nebo to import a pdf book, it took up 81GB of space. The previous nebo version does not seem to have this situation, is this a bug? I reinstalled the software or the system to no avail.

However, this capability demands a device with ample RAM, as adding extensive content may result in performance issues on devices with lower capacity. Hi Enya! Yes, Nebo will work for note-taking, but let's talk about the unique experience that an active pen brings. Using a touch screen may reduce this experience. However, if you're looking for casual note-taking from time to time, you can use a capacitive pen, which will work just fine. Alternatively, you can always rely on the trusty keyboard for typing your notes. Just keep in mind that the experience won't be quite the same as if you are using an active pen. Best regards!

In Nebo, if the PDF is generated from a text document, you can easily select words or text paragraphs and copy the text. Once the text is copied, you can then paste it into your Document or Note pages, making it convenient for your workflow.
However, please note that if a PDF is an image (such as scanned documents or image-based PDFs), the text within those images cannot be directly selected or copied. These types of PDFs contain text in the form of images, which means that the text is not in an editable format.

There is no option to take blank page document and paper size option also not there like A4

Thank you for your message. We do offer a color palette inside Nebo where you can customize colors at your leisure. At present, Nebo doesn't offer the option to use RGB codes for colors. Yes you have to buy seperately on each app Store

Indeed, hyperlinks have been functional within PDFs since version 5.7.
