Große Oper ! Große Kino ! Großes Theater mit viel Hauen und Stechen ! Unbedingt empfehlenswert ! Das Stück, die Musik, die Sänger, Orchester, Chor und Inszenierung sind großartig!

The staging was horrible. There was a storm of boos from the audience which they completely try to hide here.

Vu ce chef d'oeuvre d'Adams au Chatelet (génial) puis à Bastille. La mise en scène de Berlin est atroce, indigne, scandaleuse, d'un mauvais goût et d'un ridicule achevés ! On arrive à en oublier la magnifique musique. Comment a-t-on pu oser une telle catastrophe dans un endroit aussi respectable que le DOB Berlin ? Incompréhensible. Quelle honte ! Il me semble qu'Adams lui-même s'est élevé contre ce "spectacle" dénaturé.
