He didn't deny that he belonged to Kate. And it's not just about whether Kate has feelings for him or not. He loves her. That means his heart is hers. And I think he did believe here that she could have feelings for him. He's been thinking ever since S3 that it might not be one sided. She's pretty much claimed him since S2. So he wouldn't have that realization here. It's also why he stays away from Serena. He doesn't ask her out until Kate pushes him to and even then he's not entirely on board.

lol, i wish Castle would've showed some sort of realization that he understood what she meant. he didn't even look at kate w/ new eyes or anything, like "what could S mean, does kate maybe have feelings for me?" idk if i'm explaining myself well, but nothing dawned on him after S said the thing about him belonging to someone else.
It didn't dawn on him because he already knew that. In Season 3 episode 13 he tells his mother "It's not about the books any more" and in Episode 24 of season 3 he tells Martha "If anything happens to her ..." and can't get the words out. Finally in season 3 episode 24 he tells Kate outright that he loves her when she's been shot. At this point in Season 4 he's acting on the hope that Beckett's "wall" will come down soon and in the belief that she doesn't remember he told her he loves her. To sum up Castle already knows he belongs to Beckett, it's not news to him but he doesn't know for sure whether or not she shares his feelings and he's also determined to give her whatever time and space she needs to decide whether or not to move their relationship onto a new level. Serena isn't talking about Kate's feelings when she says "I don't steal things that belong to someone else", she's talking about the fact it doesn't MATTER how Kate feels, Rick is already hers heart and soul. No one else can get into his heart, it belongs to Beckett now.
I think she was doing botox during this time. Did you see how she could barely say hamburger? I like this show, but it's crazy how her face has changed over the years. Hope she doesn't become a plastic surgery addict.
