Born and raised in Riverside. The first wall we see in the parking lot was Michael's Market when I lived on Grand Ave from about 64 to 71. Passed where i lived at about the 50 second mark, not far from the corner of Grand and Rubidioux Blvd. Walked to Mt. View Elementary for four or five years (earlier, we lived on Appleton before that and I walked the couple hundred yards home from kindergsrden, 1st and 2nd) and in the direction he was driving to go to Central Junior High when Central was 7th, 8th and the first half of 9th grade. Moved to central Arkansas for two years and returned to Riverside on Ramona Av and walked most days to and from Poly High for all of 11th and 12th grade. When he takes that sweeping hill down (Palm Av), that was the steep stretch we really worked our bicycles on to try to get them up to 35 to 40 miles per hour, which we could get verified if we could, rarely, get one of our driving friends to clock us.
