Probably not but if Compound fails and Opie's ventures aren't doing well I could see them both taking a desperate shot at a reunion to try to recapture past glory. What will happen then is that those old tensions and animosities will re emerge and they'll break up...again.

My theory, opie is super medicated, maybe on anti depressants or something, making him unable to make good judgement calls. Half his brain is shut down from meds, that's how they work. He reminds me a lot of joe matarese now. difference is opie is 1 of the most successful radio hosts in history but you'd never know it. Cumia always got the star aspect, which is why he still in 2024 comes off like a star. He knows what he did, what he accomplished. Opie may not have been the funniest guy in the world but he was the VOICE of O&A. He needs to get a grip on reality before it's too late.
The OnA days, with RnF, were days I wish I could relive sometimes. I don't think I've laughed as hard, as much, ever before or since. I looked forward to being able to just drive and listen to the funniest stuff I've heard
If you were to only be a 5min feature on the Opiester show he would have over 5,000 views for that video alone. I listened to O&A since I was 15 in 1995. Thank god there are hundreds of hours of shows on the youtube. Thank you guys for a life long of laughter honestly if you guys can agree to disagree and get together once a month it will make all of us GenXers happy.
The Opie and Anthony show belongs to a time that's gone. When a show dies, it doesn't live again -- not removed from its context like that. If you resurrected the show then it wouldn't be alive; it would undead. Zombie Opie and Anthony. Like attaching strings to a corpse and making a dancing puppet. Show's over. Lights came on in the aisles and the audience shuffled out. What's left is all that's left.
All good things come to an end, and if we are honest, the last few years of Opie and Anthony werent anywhere near the same as when they were in their prime. Firing or splitting up, it was time for the show to end.

I've downloaded all of the episodes from the Sirius XM days and I listen to them while cleaning the house, doing yardwork, etc. They're still super entertaining to listen to. It's like a time capsule hearing them react to stories as they're developing. Still hilarious as well.
I have been listening to some of the old shows lately and realized how much I miss it. I have never laughed so hard and so regularly at any show before or since. The product you, Opie and Jim created had a synergy that worked like no other. Your format is now copied by just about every other comedy podcast today. You all played your part and it was just awesome. I know it is unlikely, but if the stars align and the three of you ever do anything together again, I will have a giant smile on my face that might last a week or two.
Cake Stomping, "As big as your imagination", Paralyzed Opie, The Sports curse, Staple Challenge, Accidentally broadcasting E-Rock's phone number while he was on his Honeymoon at Disneyland, Opie's Gay cereal (Lean on Me), Brutal celebrity phone interviews where he hangs up 10 seconds into the call, stories about his crazy mom and his relation to the real All the Way May. Opie brought a lot to the show but mostly as the straight man and sometimes a foil which is essential for any comedy team.
You have a 2 hour show with OP where you guys retell the funniest stories, allow fans to call in and ask questions and you give the funny interesting backstories. You have a large audience of loyal former fans. Would help both your current shows. Pull you back into the mainstream.
We don’t want you to be scripted and do the bit. We want whatever naturally happens when you put both Opie and Anthony in front of a microphone. We want to see what happens when you take two men who have a huge history together who have became estranged and see what happens when you get them in a room together. You’re leaving cash on the table.
O & A then Ron and Fez was the best radio line up ever. I miss those days a lot. Now, nothing is good or even funny. Opie was the straight man and Ant was the show along with Patrice or Jimmy. A reunion? Nah. Those days are gone and we have the memories. People today just don't understand what was, and never will.

All he did was intro a topic that he was able to practice the previous night which was always uninteresting rambling until he would hand it off to Anthony and Jimmy and then stay silent the rest of the segment until commercial break. as someone who has listened to countless hours of old o&a, a reunion isn’t on my mind from these two…anyone who is a fan knows opie is insufferable and always was. would love an anthony and jim show like we never were able to get. but opie? PASS
How about a documentary or a retrospective show where you guys look back at your favorite moments and the fans favorite moments too as well as sharing some never before seen footage and share some story’s that we as fans have not heard before. It can be like a one night only event where you guys can charge us and it can be streamed worldwide or you can do a small tour and do it and you can even call it a evening with opie and Anthony.
JRE has no idea what an Opie is anymore. It would be some type of live NYC area live podcast reunion (like Mike and the Mad Dog did a few times). It would work very well.
At this point Opie's claim to fame might be that he is the original lolcow, although he likely has no idea what that means or even how to leverage it for money. Sad to see such a senseless fall from grace.
the show was already on its way out 10 years ago anyway even before the firing, the great moments became few and far between, all the best clips are from the 2005-2012, it had it's 7 year window of quality

And obviously they completely self-sabotaged by not taking advantage of free video hosting and access to millions of potential subscribers on youtube. But even without the benefit of hindsight or even a shred of business sense, all their ham-handed efforts should have been focused completely on Ant's show.
Kill Tony would be the perfect place for this reunion. No pressure to talk, and the mechanics of the show would put you right back into the rhythm. I been thinking about this for a few years.

Opie was always a slave to his wife, he could never get in on the fun with the rest of the boys or he was afraid to answer to his family. The same way Sam Roberts is so reclusive with the dirty jokes. But at least he can take a joke.
It took awhile for Sam to learn how to take a joke. The thing with Sam is he's a wormy smug beta. No one wants to see a guy like that NEVER take a beating. The second he got better at avoiding the urge to fire back with defensive unfunny $hit, a lot of his hate went away. He's really good at taking a step back now, when it's appropriate. I honestly can't recall any other instance where I saw someone make such a tangible effort on self-improvement, and have it pay off.

It’s insane how current they still are, I’m hooked on Colin Quinn smashes at little Jimmy right now.
I've downloaded all of the episodes from the Sirius XM days and I listen to them while cleaning the house, doing yardwork, etc. They're still super entertaining to listen to. It's like a time capsule hearing them react to stories as they're developing. Still hilarious as well.
I have been listening to some of the old shows lately and realized how much I miss it. I have never laughed so hard and so regularly at any show before or since. The product you, Opie and Jim created had a synergy that worked like no other. Your format is now copied by just about every other comedy podcast today. You all played your part and it was just awesome. I know it is unlikely, but if the stars align and the three of you ever do anything together again, I will have a giant smile on my face that might last a week or two.
Reunion? Why? Opie has absolutely nothing to bring.

Cake Stomping, "As big as your imagination", Paralyzed Opie, The Sports curse, Staple Challenge, Accidentally broadcasting E-Rock's phone number while he was on his Honeymoon at Disneyland, Opie's Gay cereal (Lean on Me), Brutal celebrity phone interviews where he hangs up 10 seconds into the call, stories about his crazy mom and his relation to the real All the Way May. Opie brought a lot to the show but mostly as the straight man and sometimes a foil which is essential for any comedy team.

You have a 2 hour show with OP where you guys retell the funniest stories, allow fans to call in and ask questions and you give the funny interesting backstories. You have a large audience of loyal former fans. Would help both your current shows. Pull you back into the mainstream.

O&A best radio show of all time. Life’s too short to hold a grudge.
We don’t want you to be scripted and do the bit. We want whatever naturally happens when you put both Opie and Anthony in front of a microphone. We want to see what happens when you take two men who have a huge history together who have became estranged and see what happens when you get them in a room together. You’re leaving cash on the table.
Why? They tried already when Opie called in Compound Media. They spoke for an hour there was no chemistry and nothing memorable happened.

O & A then Ron and Fez was the best radio line up ever. I miss those days a lot. Now, nothing is good or even funny. Opie was the straight man and Ant was the show along with Patrice or Jimmy. A reunion? Nah. Those days are gone and we have the memories. People today just don't understand what was, and never will.

@@cmofficial794 i think people just miss the old days i guess. but as anthony pointed out every single person has a beef with opie so the show couldnt even be the same lol. i think the only thing opie could contribute right now is getting anthony to maybe stop talking about politics. if opie knew how to start a conversation and let anthony finish it then it could work. and dont stop funny bits once they get rolling. because there is 1 thing anthony loves besides beer and hot young chicks, its having someone else do the work lol. so if opie did show prep on various topics instead of just politics and race and let anthony joke off it, it could maybe work if opie realizes he isnt the star
@@MelodicsRareMusicVid Opie was bad at that too. All he did was intro a topic that he was able to practice the previous night which was always uninteresting rambling until he would hand it off to Anthony and Jimmy and then stay silent the rest of the segment until commercial break.

as someone who has listened to countless hours of old o&a, a reunion isn’t on my mind from these two…anyone who is a fan knows opie is insufferable and always was. would love an anthony and jim show like we never were able to get. but opie? PASS

How about a documentary or a retrospective show where you guys look back at your favorite moments and the fans favorite moments too as well as sharing some never before seen footage and share some story’s that we as fans have not heard before. It can be like a one night only event where you guys can charge us and it can be streamed worldwide or you can do a small tour and do it and you can even call it a evening with opie and Anthony.

the show was already on its way out 10 years ago anyway even before the firing, the great moments became few and far between, all the best clips are from the 2005-2012, it had it's 7 year window of quality

@@iSOBigD Ant, or his handlers, don't get enough hate for attempting to start a 'network' instead of focusing on making Ant's show a success. And obviously they completely self-sabotaged by not taking advantage of free video hosting and access to millions of potential subscribers on youtube. But even without the benefit of hindsight or even a shred of business sense, all their ham-handed efforts should have been focused completely on Ant's show.
Kill Tony would be the perfect place for this reunion. No pressure to talk, and the mechanics of the show would put you right back into the rhythm.

Years later, after the Artie thing & Howie's sub-sequent sell-out, I left team Howard. Listened to all of the old episodes & one time saw your episode from the day after 9-11. Listened to it. Liked it. Then listened to another one.
Hooked on all of the episodes and have listened to them several times over.
Y'all would be awesome again. Talk about your beef over the air and squash it. That would be fantastic radio.

Opie was always a slave to his wife, he could never get in on the fun with the rest of the boys or he was afraid to answer to his family. The same way Sam Roberts is so reclusive with the dirty jokes. But at least he can take a joke.
It took awhile for Sam to learn how to take a joke. The thing with Sam is he's a wormy smug beta. No one wants to see a guy like that NEVER take a beating. The second he got better at avoiding the urge to fire back with defensive unfunny $hit, a lot of his hate went away. He's really good at taking a step back now, when it's appropriate. I honestly can't recall any other instance where I saw someone make such a tangible effort on self-improvement, and have it pay off.
