- Jim and Dominique Keeling established Whichford Pottery in 1976 with two apprentices and now lead a team of 30 local people. We design and make a wide range of English terracotta flowerpots using traditional hand-thrown and hand-pressed methods for discerning gardeners worldwide.

I LOVE your videos and my art students (K-8) absolutely are mesmerized by them. We work with clay a lot and this video in particular is very informative without the boring technical aspects kids don't really need. It is refreshing to see a video that places importance on community and all of the employees play a vital role in the success of the work and the biz. thank you.... getting ready to show this again for the .... 1000th time??
I could watch this a million times over. It's magical.
Great film, what a wonderful place!
I am genuinely considering spending my life here. Pottery is my life and I've only got 3 years under my belt but time I know I will get those hours in and those years passed.
Good on you guys ..... sometimes within me is a desire to return to the "village" way of human life- rather than the huge cities of strangers we have become.
As a gardener to me my pots that I plant in are the gems, the softscapes and hardscapes the outfit but the pottery is the jewelry the BLING if you will of any garden or home . Thats for sharing!
I love your videos!!! Please make more of them!
magical video, thanks Jim.
can't stop watching this amazing video, the craft and dedication of the team is awe inspiring
Beautiful way to live and work. As an amateur thrower, I appreciate you guys. If you ever want to take an apprentice on to teach knowing he'll not be an employee later just reach out to me. I'll start myself a kiln for my Thai wife's village.
Beautiful Potters video. Makes me feel special to be a potter myself...Still so much to learn. Hope to visit there someday. It's on my Bucket list. Thank you.
I enjoy the video.Thank you for sharing with us.

*1060ºC - apologies for the slip of the tongue. 10,600ºC would be a bit over-fired!
As a potter myself, I heard what you meant and not what you really said. Amazing how the brain does these things. I was surprised that your frost-proof pots are terracotta; I'd expected stoneware. Brilliant.
10,600 degrees is Pompei

Hello. I write to you from the distant Russia .work is very beautiful . How can I contact you?
10600 degrees C = 19112 degrees F more than a little over fired. I believe that all the clay would vaporize at that temp.

I’m happy seeing their fork...I have a spoon, a beautiful silver one that my cheeky teenager calls it my “heroin” spoon simply because it’s so random looking amidst my regular tools lol
