  • You’ve heard of buses, ferryboats and the monorail, but have you heard of Disney Skyliner? There are over 300 gondolas in the Disney Skyliner fleet! ~Hop~ aboard as we take to the sky!
    The Disney Skyliner transportation system debuted in fall 2019, featuring whimsical character- and attraction-themed gondolas that transport guests to select areas of Walt Disney World Resort via sky cable. “The Most Magical Flight on Earth” connects 4 resort hotels to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. No matter where you board, there is enough room for strollers to roll on without having to fold them up. For guests with wheelchairs or other assistive devices, there is a separate queue at each station for anyone needing extra time while getting on a gondola. Hours can vary by season, weather and route.
    ~Leap~ over to our blog for everything you need to know about the Disney Skyliner transportation option:

      So if you have a ticket to Hollywood Studios, you automatically get entrance to Epcot via the skyliner?

    This is a really well-assembled video and feels like the tourism and travel TV shows of the 1990s.

    Back in the day, Sky Buckets at Miracle Strip and Six Flags we’re always great! So glad Disney built these. Have enjoyed them as a time to spend with our grandkids.

    Molly thanks for giving the advice of grabbing another ride once you scan your Magic band. Not many people know you don’t have to wait to finish the ride!!!

    i think how the gondolas slow down in the station is they transfer from the cable to a metal tube that still powers them (while the cable itself goes around the pulley) and rubber tires cause the forward motion

    I enjoy most parts of the ride but I'm not overly thrilled with the portion from HS to CBR.

    Rode it numerous times, enjoy the long trip from CBR to Epcot the most. We have been recording the ones we ride on via their numbers. A dozen of them we have been on 2 or 3 times.

    Does the Skyliner leave early enough for rope dropping, or is driving from CBR to Epcot & HS the better option?

    • @undercovertourist
      @undercovertourist  Před 3 lety +3

      @Samuel Chambers - It is possible, but because the hours of the Disney Skyliner vary, the car would be the safer option. The Skyliner generally opens an hour before the park opens but we have also seen it open closer to park opening.

      @@undercovertourist thanks for your response. We are going to WDW next year, and I wanted to take full advantage of the 30 minute early opening for resort guests.

      We always use Skyliner to rope drop Epcot and HS and never, ever had a problem. Always one of the first in line. We line up by 6:45 am.

    There is a seperate queue for disabled access at every station except the Riviera station. It doesn't seem like that station has any queue for disabled access. How does that station handle boarding and disembarking disabled guests?

    • @undercovertourist
      @undercovertourist  Před rokem

      Great question, Mike! Since there isn't a separate queue, just let a cast member know and they can slow or stop the gondolas as needed.

    Not exactly an expert preview of the skyliner. It doesn't say if it goes to any parks just over them I'm trying to figure out if I ride the skyliner to epcot, can I enter through ticket gates there?

    • @undercovertourist
      @undercovertourist  Před rokem

      Hey Matt! Yes, if you take the Skyliner to EPCOT, you can enter the park through the International Gateway entrance. Hope this helps!
