I was so traumatized by the movie. I was a young "just be yourself!" raised kid and couldn't believe the end of that film. I still can't quite get over it. I hate that it's done in high schools all the time. I always subtitle it "Ode to Conformity". I really hate it.@@natalyafisher2571

I was surprised that Greg Davies doesn’t know that dogs are sentient. Science knows they are, even if politicians debate it. As a scientist, I can assert absolutely that it is the case. Although it doesn’t touch what he does as a comedian, he is a public face. Sad, really. I hope no one believes such ignorance because they heard it from someone they know from the telly.

Totally agree with Frankie - athletics have become a religion of their own 🤷🏼♀️ Not all bad is caused by god … it’s humans that don’t read the bible properly. That being said there are lots of religions that keep people in the dark in order to get money in the coffers ….

i feel like the answer should bave been ignorant atheists cause it's not just celeb atheists that can be like that, not saying i am religious but I've seen the extreme of both sides.
Something about Greg Davies I really dont like. I always want his attempts at humour to fall flat, and to be fair, he rarely let's me down.

Couldn't agree more with your comment. There are so many people I would add to your list. My mind has gone blank. I must add Steven Fry, American author David Sederas and musician Steve Martin who has a song called something like "Atheists have no songs." He plays a terrific banjo.
I absolutely agree with Frankie, peoples beliefs are their own business.
Frankie's gripe is mainly about Gervais, probably because ge's an overaged "teenage popstar" wannabe.
I don't think there is any problem with people voicing their atheist beliefs (or lack thereof) - it's something Frankie has done many times. I think it's the disdain that anybody could be so utterly stupid as to believe in God. And, by extension, the assertion that Gervais and Dawkins clearly think themselves *so* much cleverer than everybody who has ever believed in a God. A group of people which includes, for instance, Bach, Da Vinci, C S Lewis, Mandela, Newton, Nobel and so on and so on. Not to mention all the equally talented atheists. Or, to put it another way, Dawkins et al's permanent assumption that atheists are any more (or less) intelligent or worthy of notice then anyone else is so facile as to be not worth paying attention to anything else they say.
David Mitchell has a very similar viewpoint to Frankie. I'm with Frankie and David Mitchell on this one.

I'm totally with Ian, and I had that discussion with my kids. In Grease date rape and groping is fine, the only way to get a partner is to slut up and at the same time slut shaming is also a thing.
No. Just no. Watch it for the music, the music is great but the story is really bizarre looking at it 40 years later, and I'm very happy a guy like Ian sees that.
Some of these just reek of pretentiousness. "Celebrity atheists" pale in comparison to celebrity zealots. Top Gear was, at the height, the most popular television show in the entire world.
Popularity is never a sign of quality. "Shaddap You Face" was #1 for three weeks despite being utterly crap!
