Dose it help with retinal detachment
Not with detachment unfortunately.
The end of January this year (2021) I started contraception after having my second child, in June I started noticing my right eye going blurry and then in July my eye doctor said I have slight esotropia. It didn't occur to me untill now that it might be since starting contraception as blurry eyes and vision loss can be a side effect. Could taking contraception (the pill) be the reason for this? I have never had eye problems growing up. I am a healthy 27 year old.
Esotropia is typically not associated with contraception, although there are studies sited of having a link between the two. More specifically, there is a link with idiopathic intra-cranial hypertension and oral contraceptive therapy causing vision loss and esotropia. So we highly recommend you get evaluated by your general physician or prescribing physician first and you may need to be seen by a neurologist to be safe.
@@visontherapy That's very interesting that you mentioned intra-cranial hypertension because after giving birth to my second child I get bad head pressure whenever I run around with my kids for more then 5 minutes or even do a cartwheel or exercise for a few minutes. It last for a few minutes and I have to bend down for a few minutes to relieve it..I get it 3-4 times a days lasting a few minutes.
