But also, that has literally never mattered to Matt 😂 If a character’s death is shown, and they appear again, regardless of it being a different setting in time or an alternate version of the character, he will say they didn’t die and no one ever does.

He was a kid in the X-men and not that significant of a character to the X-men universe as a whole so it’s understandable that most people didn’t realize.
Unless you’re an X-men fan and read the captions and recognized Pyro’s name then it’s not expected.

It’s still so cool seeing Deadpool on interact with MCU stuff. I loved showing my siblings the trailer and them all going “ohhh crap” when the TVA showed up and they remember it’s a Disney/MCU Deadpool film haha

Aaron Stanford who plays Pyro is such an underrated actor. I cant wait to see him in this movie and I hope its more than just a cameo.
He's great in 12 Monkeys (the TV series).
I’m assuming he’ll have like 2 minutes at best. If my prediction is right it’s going to be the sequence where they fight past X-Men villains.
A note about LOGAN, Hugh Jackman said Logan was his last time playing Wolverine BUT he made an exception if they'd have have him in a Deadpool movie!
Also, this Wolverine will be taken from a time before the events of the Logan movie! (Obvious to some, but in case anyone was unsure like Holden 😅)

He said MCU movie. Ryan was trying his hardest to convince him to be in Deadpool 2 but Hugh wasn't interested. Now that Deadpool is MCU it finally matched with Hugh's goal.

while Logan was Hugh's last supposed Wolverine role, he always said he'd gladly take the role for an MCU shot, so waiting was really all we needed to do.
plus, him and Reynolds are huge friends, so if someone could bring him back, that would be the one person who'd succeed.
Hugh was also kinda playing Logan basically every year back then, it is safe to assume the man was tired of always having that on his schedule, including his training schedule (training for Wolverine's role wasn't easy).
it has now been 6 years, so plenty of rest, and the next occasion after this movie would be Avengers 5 &/or 6, which will take another bunch of years allowing Hugh to recharge his batteries once again

He pretty much stated that he would return for an Avengers crossover, so my best guess is they gave him a two or three movie deal including Deadpool as a way to introduce him first, to have a second chance of Deadpool/Wolverine and then he gets to do one or two Avengers movies. Peak ending imo doesn't take away anything for the masterpiece that is Logan.
I remember him being asked if he would join the Avengers and he said that that “ship has sailed”.
Honestly Reynolds has been trying to make this happen for a decade at least. So it should happen at least once.
Not sure why, but Deadpool 2 being 6 years ago just slapped me in the face like wtf where has the time gone? Didn't even feel that long ago when i remember sitting in the cinema watching it, wtf.
Deadpool 3 might have come out in 2021 or 2022 if disney didn’t buy fox but the time gap is insane. The last Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor came out in 2017 before 2022/2023, but we saw them in the avengers movies, so the gap didn’t feel as big compared to Deadpool
Well, Vanessa and some X-force members are alive, so his time travel shenanigans definitely had real effects.

yea and the TVA isn't here because of that, they are here for something else. He starts right away that it's been years since he adjusted the timeline and saved everyone, so the TVA didn't care that he did that part, so i'm guessing what he's GOING to do is why there are there.
@@eolsunder he didn't say its been a few years since deadpool 2, he said its been a challenging few years, so he could be saying that shortly after the events of deadpool 2 on his birthday and be saying that.
That explains why the tva is hunting him down because they can't hunt you down for something you haven't done yet. They hunt you down when you do something that's not planned or when you aren't supposed to exist like sylvie

This video was highly anticipated, first trailer that got me excited about Marvel in years
Deadpool & Deadpool 2 are near the top of my all-time favorite flicks... I get so much enjoyment and laughs when I watch them over and over. I have no doubts that this is going to be right up there with them.
To my understanding, "Logan" director James Mangold wasn't too happy about Hugh Jackman reprising his role when that film was meant to be his swan song. Jackman actually consoled Mangold and that "Deadpool & Wolverine" supposedly takes place before "Logan", which Mangold eventually approved. Still ecstatic to see Hugh wear the claws one more time!

There is a shot looking at someone's back sitting in a casino , it looks like Wolverines other alter ego Patch wearing the white suit .
It is, but I don't think that's hugh jackman though. Cause it looks like patch doesn't have as broad of shoulders as Hugh. My guess is it could be taron edgerton who plays eggsy in the kingsman franchise is probably having a brief cameo here. Same with channing tatum as gambit
In the final shot when Deadpool is on the ground there's a copy of Secret Wars #5 next to him with Dr. Doom on the cover

The TVA monitored variant timelines. Something the X-men universe was (there were like 8 shown in the Singerverse). What Loki did was make all the timelines visitable for the TVA. I think he changed them from being time police to more about the multiverse.
Time and multiverse are kinda used interchangeably in the MCU
Things you missed.....
- 2:15 a character from the comics named Paradox.
- 2:43 most likely Professor X's twin sister, Cassandra Nova, he tried to murk in the womb, thought she was still born, only to, well, look it up...
- 2:46 an alternate personality Logan took on in the comics named Patch.
- 3:03 same fight location from the beginning of Age of Ultron.
- 3:04, yes the broken 20th Century FOX logo, but probably the end of time, the junkyard from Loki.
This is setting up Secret Wars. The big multiverse battle royal with every iteration of every Marvel character forced into battle with each other by Dr. Doom. It’s going to be insane!
yesterday Kevin Feige announced Deadpool and Wolverine are gonna show up in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. the reason he announced it because how well the trailer of Deadpool & Wolverine did.
They have to if they want to keep some viewers. Me included lol. We went too long with no teamup so.....yeah

Ryan Reynolds has said that they are not messing with the death of Wolverine in Logan. That is cannon, so this will mess with time before and around that in some way.
The white coated Wolverine in the gambling clip apparently is his alter ego Patch from one of the comic lines, and also is supposed to be happening in Madrapoor which for the MCU came up in Falcon & The Winter Soldier.
One big easter egg is that in the last scene with Deadpool laying on his back, on the left of the screen you can see the cover art to one of the actual Secret Wats comic issues. Also next to it is an empty one of the green bottles of soda from the Incredible Hulk movie that Stan Lee drank from his fridge.
The last scene where Deadpool is laying down, there is a comic book beside him that says secret wars with Dr. doom on the cover as well. There is a bottle of yellow or green pop from Edward Norton’s Hulk.
When the TVA tells Wade that he's special, I take it to mean it's because he's the only character able to break the fourth wall, being aware of the audience and the multiverse to an extent.
Three things that you didn't cover (even though on of them isn't that famous since it's comic only character).
First, Alioth from The Void in Loki got that TVA agent in the trailer (Also, this trailer doesn't censor the f-bomb that dropped, which is funny since this isn't a red band trailer.)
There's A Wolverine in a white tux in the casino, that's Logan's undercover Madripoor alter ego, Patch, where he wears an eye-patch, and revels in that island city, full of scum and villainy, rich and poor alike. I say "A" Wolverine, because that doesn't look like Hugh Jackman's build, and there's rumor that's a variant Wolverine played by famous fancast actors, Daniel Radcliffe, or Taron Edgerton.
The final thing is the bald head seen in the trailer, many may think it's Professor X, but it's actually Emma Corrin's Cassandra Nova, Xavier's twin sister from Grant Morrison's New X-Men in 2001. She's a monster, and is responsible for so much mutant death, because she just doesn't care for empathy... and it's wild that she's in a Deadpool movie.
There's a bit more, but that's enough from my rambling lol
So far it’s everything it should be, can’t wait to see how this affects the MCU moving forward.
Did you notice the Secret Wars comic laying next to Deadpool when he was on the ground.
To me the coolest thing by far is the Secret Wars Comic featuring Dr. Doom in the snow to Deadpool's right at the end!
something I noticed that I havent seen anyone talking about is those scenes in the snow where deadpool is fighting the TVA agents. that was from the Avengers : Age of Ultron movie. you can see the vehicle on its side behind deadpool. Im sure there are other scenes too from other movies but i cant recall them at the moment.
Great Deadpool & Wolverine teaser trailer but the hope as always for a multiverse movie is that the story/script is very strong & holds up beyond the cameos & great action 🤞

I suppose it's safe to say you didn't see the video Ryan & Hugh made together stating that this movie takes place before Logan, so that film really is the end of Wolverine. But what they had to do to convince him to come back for a prequel after HJ said he was done is what surprises me the most, & I'm excited to see why!
Matthew Macfadyen is what got me hyped fo this movie mainly... people nowadays know him from Succession, I know him from The Three Musketeers and Pride and Prejudice the 2005 movie
The scene in the trailer where you see Wolverine walk up, on the left theres like a poster or magazine that says "Secret Wars." Nice little Easter Egg
in the scene with deadpool and wolverine theres a comic books anf on the cover is secret wars #5 from 2015 a Dr Doom cover also theres a soda bottle one of the green sodas from the hulk movie

The first time the wolverine suit was shown. It was the brown and yellow suit which is the second iteration of the suit. The first iteration of suit was the blue and yellow one in the comics and the brown and yellow were mostly in th xmen comic series i believe
Yeah i was exited to see this. But my exitement probably mostly comes from the first teaser Ryan Reinolds released some time ago.
There he joked about making another deadpool movie and then "asked" a briefly seen hugh jackman if he would be in for it.
That was the teaser right after the film got the green light, when i got exited to see this film.
idk if you have seen the teaser but maybe a fun thing to watch as well. since it clearly shows how hugh is basically saying yeah he would play wolverine "one last time" for ryan as a favor. its the deadpool kind of funny teaser :D maybe not sth for a whole video, but i think after the first trailer a nice add on to watch as well ^^
The TVA is not just a cameo narrative device, its a major plot element. You even see them in the Void at the end of time for a huge amount of the story, they even show Alioth scooping up some dude in a quick shot

the action of the movie takes place in the void (where all the pruned people go in Loki). And in one scene in the trailer we can see one TVA agent being yeted by Alioth. (3:10)
o snap...I knew that was Pyro but I didn't know they brought back the actor that played him in the X-men movies..I forgot how young he was in the those movies...that's so cool
I'm convinced Hugh jumped at the chance to join this movie when he was offered the chance to FINALLY wear the suit.
Well that’s the suit from the fox universe in that one post credit or deleted scene where the suitcase opens and it’s wolverines outfit. And they are clearly in that place Loki was at in season 1 so maybe this is that universe where he actually dawns the outfit but it was a branched timeline so the TVA pruned it and he’s now in the place where Goliath and such is at. Cuz we saw Goliath for a split second snatch that TVs agent with the chains in his wrists
I CANNOT wait to see if there's a Brotherhood of Mutants cameo of the various characters in the pruned wasteland. Get Ray Park back as Toad, you already have Pyro, get Kevin Durand back in the fat suit as Blob, let me see the evil mutant goon squad together!
We’ll definitely see Tyler Mane’s Sabretooth and Ray Park’s Toad in Deadpool & Wolverine. Both were on the film set.
Age of Ultron opened on a wintery forest setting. Wonder if we'll get callbacks with Deadpool sent to fix some timeline stuff in past MCU. Maybe contrive some plot device that he was there the whole time like Humpty in Puss n' Boots.
At the end of the Trailer when Deadpool is on the ground if you look left side you can see a comic which is the secret wars comic and also can see the Green Bottle from the original hulk movie that killed Stan lee
The scene where the TVA agent in the conference room snaps his fingers the sound it makes is like the Disney+ logo sound. Also, Vanessa calls Wade buddy, not babe. There is a channel on here that specializes in deep dives of all these movies and trailers.
Sony had Spider-Verse, Fox had Mutants and Fantastic 4, Disney has everybody else.

i dont read comics so i didnt know but have read online that people say thats not Charles but Xaviers twin sister Casandra Nova being played by actress Emma Corrin that played young Princess Dianna in the Crown (i have never watched)..is she any good i dont know but supposed to be one of the antagonists..

Deadpool (my favorite anti-hero) has now included my two favorite x-men villains Juggernaut from Deadpool 2, and Pyro.
It would be funny if they took all the actors that are rumored to be "the next Wolverine", and have them play a Wolverine from different timelines. So now all the rumors would be true, but also wrong since now we wouldn't know which one was taking over the claws in the MCU. It would be a fun way to do a 4th wall break.

Deadpool fighting in the snow-covered forest looked a lot like the opening scene of Age of Ultron.
They do have free reign as it was mentioned months ago by those involved that this movie would be R rated and Ryan has said that no jokes they wanted to use were rejected by Disney.
Logan was set in an alternate universe and was basically his death in the fox plus this is mcu wolverine he’s got his costume n there’s gonna be different versions like people been saying Daniel Radcliffe
I very much doubt it’s an Alternate Wolverine it’s likely the same one from all the fox movies considering it’s the same Deadpool and Pyro is also returning. Logan took place at the very end of the X-Men timeline and with how much time travel Deadpool did in the sequel I don’t see why they can’t just take Wolverine from before he died in Logan or before the events of that movie even took place.

At 1:49 in the trailer there is a closeup of Uzis being fired. I think we are going to see Lady Deadpool in this movie because that was her gun of choice.
At the end of the video when Deadpool is laying on the ground there is a torn up copy of a Secret award comic laying there.
I could be wrong, but I have a pretty good feeling that the man in the white suit is Taron Egerton. There was a lot of talk about him being the mcu's wolverine, and the shoulders do kinda match.
It's possible for the TVA to exist here because Wade is self-aware and knows of the Multiverse.
There is a chance that are more than 1 wolverine and Deadpool in this movie because in one of the shots you can see Deadpool but he has different suit than the our Deadpool. Also in the casiona shot you can see Wolverine but I think it is his Patch version. (Where he goes undercover for secret missions and has an eye patch)

5:21 It may or may not be an alternate timeline, but this movie DOES take place before Logan. Logan takes place in 2029 and this movie takes place in present day.

There’s no way Deadpool 2 post credit scene would make this much sense on how they bring Wolverine and him into the mcu
If you look closely, when the door is opened from the conference room to the TVA hallway, at the end is what looks like a mural of Lokis tree of life. Which would mean that this TVA is Loki’s version. Which would mean Loki is responsible for Deadpool entering the MCU. Which further solidifies the fact that Loki is in the fact the best MCU character.
It'd be pretty funny if they make Deadpool the way to abort the whole Kang storyline this phase was supposed to center around.
