Well this new missions makes sense. The witness is dead but we never knew who is behind the creation of the robotic army known as the vex, at least thats the only enemy that still secret with its past. Maya Sundaresh might be the new opponent or allie, lets be honest, we never knew who is really behind the creation of the vex from the beginning. Maybe Maya has the answer.

Um... we know where the Vex came from... They're a surviving pattern from a previous Flower Game that escaped into our universe when the Light and Darkness first clashed and created it...
I do agree that the mysterious voice/figure leading these Vex is probably Maya.

@@grimm_satisfaction1292 i didn't remember that story, but every race has a creator and a main boss. Even if the vex are a robotic race that can travel through time and through different timelines, every race has a main power controlling them and maybe Maya has the answer even if she is an enemy or a new allie.

​​​​@@madmax6439 No one "created" the Vex. They aren't even artificial... They are sapient, somewhat hive-minded radiolarians (silicate microorganisms) that live in "Radiolaria," the white fluid that we always see whenever we encounter the Vex.
The "robots" that we see are actually mechs that the real Vex, the white fluids, construct and pilot from within.
Also, "every race has a creator and a main boss?" Um, no? The only race that we could possibly say was "created" would be the Hive. Literally, every other race evolved naturally... As for the boss thing, also, no? Only a handful of the races that we know have a singular leader...
