Guy talking about his first 100 days like he doesn’t have 200 days until then to do something, anything for the people.
Especially with his new powers as King.
Does he even know he’s the president?

Not messy. Not messy at all. but this is typical of what a free society does in the political spectrum. It's not vacillating, it's not incompetence, it's not wishy-washy. Now, we'll have none of that.
But put in the case of Joe Biden, it's different.
They (like the mainstream media) often seem to do the Republican’s propaganda for them.
I do think there is some internal struggles within though. Especially with the pro establishment leadership pushing against the more progressive members that are increasing in numbers.
That’s a good sign but in these times things could literally spell our doom if they don’t play out in some very specific ways.

Having a person who is so confident in their position that they listen to no one is not a great trait.
He’s conveniently forgotten his promises before.
I don't believe anything he has to say anymore. He had 4 yrs to do all this. Sure he got some stuff done, but nothing worth gloating over.
Where was the support from Congress?
In the hands of his “centrist” strategy with crazy DINO Senators that wanted more earmarks for themselves then were viable.
If you look at his career in politics and everything he supported along the way I really have no clue how he got elected the first time. He has never stood for the people, just his donors.
These are the only kinds of people the Democrats will allow at the top of the ticket. Anybody that's actually progressive gets sidelined & marginalized. Harshly.
Thank you for this. I always wonder if the people that go around saying Joe's a great guy and a saint know anything at all about him as a senator.
I remember when Biden was first elected because I lived in the tv coverage area that covered him (Philadelphia). He was touted for being the youngest senator. For that reason, he was regarded as remarkable.
Yet there was nothing particularly young about the way he acted or in his leadership, or lack of, in terms of public policy proposals. He was run-of-the-mill, not progressive or forward-looking.
During his long career, he kept up his safe, uncontroversial, middle-of-the-road approach toward policy-making. By that I mean, there was no real difference between him and his Republican counterparts as they operated before Reaganism turned toxic 10 years after it got rolling c. 1990.
Now people are wondering why he can’t get with it, do some liberal things. The fact is, Joe Biden has always been Joe Biden: conservative. Don’t expect him to change.

Exactly this, we're still waiting on the progressive first term he promised, why should believe the second'll be different?
🧂
Exactly right! Biden promised a progressive first term and then didn't deliver. What's to make me believe that he'll do better in a second term? It'll just be more of the status quo.
That's what centrists do best: cater to the right.
Biggest climate change bill in history, student debt forgiveness, lowered price of prescription drugs, CHIPS act, etc.
We need a new Progressive Party, disconnected from corporate Democrats.
Good luck getting people to vote for it. Even suggesting voting for any other candidate than the major Democrat will get you accused of making Project 2025 happen, making Trump happen, and I'm sure you probably also kicked all the puppies. All of them. What we need is never what we'll get, and it's really depressing that leftist channels like this aren't helping to change that, but are instead doubling down on "vote for the mainstream option because they're the reasonable choice." It's centrist brain rot on leftist channels, but with angry criticisms of the centrist picks. Like the Hans Blix meme from Team America for why Kim Jong Il should let stop blocking his inspection: "Or else we will be very very angry with you, and we will write you a letter telling you how angry we are."
No consequences, just unconditional support and angry words. Like Biden with Israel, which is also apparently not a red line that we're allowed to talk about existing or else the puppy-abuse accusations come out. Heck, there was one person who became a mod on The Serfs just so they could put me in "time out" for even pointing it out. I'm losing faith in the left, and I'm someone who is still trying to deprogram myself from 30+ years as a proto-fascist (now a commie). There's lots of talk, but it's almost all just criticism and no plans to actually DO anything. No talk of plans, either. Suggesting things to do (organizing around democracy) likewise results in silence or mockery.
The Majority Report will ensure that it doesn't happen, since their entire goal is to gaslight true progressives into voting for the corporate Democrats.
That's a negative. We have no influence outside the democratic party.

Or so he says. He might be that desperate for unity and votes, who knows. But not confident he will win now.
I vividly remember Biden speaking live from the debate stage voicing his support of the public option. While no progressive would actually endorse the public option in lieu of single payer healthcare, once elected Biden never again uttered those words. He has no respect for anyone left of center. He would use us and dispose of us. While I understand the politics some elected representatives might find themselves in, my vote doesn't deal in blood.

Israel. Need I say more?
We lose more and more rights every year from a Supreme Court that must as well have its reactionary majority show up at the RNC this year they're so obvious about it. And Biden isn't doing shit about it.
On top of that most of the promises that he made during the 2020 election didn't happen, but hey, I can't be disappointed because I didn't expect much of anything to happen in the first place. They all got piecemealed away between the parliamentarian, Manchin, the courts he's not doing much of anything about, et cetera.
I'm in no way saying any of this to justify Trump at all. And I'm well aware that you'll probably just tell me off like so many liberals have in the past. But when you ask people to support Biden, what are they really going to look to and can say has gotten better in their lives? While for the people who are further to the left on any of a wide range of issues than Biden is, you don't even try to talk to us honestly as compared to screaming at us and blaming us for everything that's wrong with Biden: his policy towards Israel that practically counts as a sex act, that he's old and everyone notices it.
