- This week marks the 10th anniversary of The Behemoth, so they're in turn reoffering the mascot chicken head prisoner. If you haven't already got him, simply load up BBT to score that awesome prisoner!
Well if you were't sold on BattleBlock Theater yet, it also ends with a pretty amusing song. It's not as awesome as Double Dragon (Seriously, what is that awesome?), but I laughed pretty hard. So I really hope you enjoy it and have a nice laugh!

For those interested in BattleBlock Theater, the story has 8 worlds and roughly 120 stages to complete. There are also a good number of characters to unlock (100+ easy) and of course user created levels too. In all and all, I had a blast even with the fairly difficult final stages.

Well, It does almost make sense. If you look closely during the opening cutscene at the start of Behemoth's Game 4 (Pit People), You can see Hatty firing the laser and destroying the bear. It almost all makes sense now.
Also, an Island made entirally out of candy shows up in one of the gameplay vids.

Fun fact : The green ray from Hatty Hattington's hat is the cause that crashed the alien in "Alien Hominid" to earth.
But didn't the government push a button to shoot the laser?
And the lazier looks different
Maybe the button did nothing and when they pressed it, the green laser shot at the same time (probably)
i think that the laser shot down the alien after the ending of Alien Hominid. Or its just appear for simple cameo and we are looking too much into it

Maybe the government is the one who created the hat and gave it to Furbottom as a gift, and then pressed the button when the hat landed on Hatty's head to destroy Alien Hominid's UFO.
When the hat glows green, (the color the Shaman gave it), for a moment, Hatty stops crying, exiting him out of his catatonic state, so he could very well still be alive.
That means potential for a sequel. not that it's guaranteed.

SPOILERS FOR PIT PEOPLE AHEAD
So for those of you who are too lazy to play pit people but still want an explanation to this ending, basically hatty accidentally killed the beat known as honey hug, and he hit the earth and turned it into grid of hexagons. Enter pit people, where the other bear, who is not pictured here, known as “Honey Kiss” is really mad that his boyfriend/husband/best friend/brother is dead so he steals your son and holds for ransom for some reason. When you finally defeat honey kiss, he has a flashback to when he’s taking to honey hug. When stamper voices Honey hug, he uses the same character voice as the one in BBT. Therefore the narrator was honey hug the whole time, and Hatty kills him at the end. After finishing the flashback, honey kiss is angry and takes hatty out of the ocean, activates his hat beam and destroys the entire solar system. He then leaves your character on an asteroid, where you’re visited by the speckled horse (a magical giraffe) who says he will give you one wish. That one wish was for everything to go back to what it was before. You then start the game from the beginning. After you do the first mission honey kiss says “good for you got your happy ending. But im still lonely” afterwards the speckled horse comes into frame and then the game ends, implying that honey kiss wished for honey hug to come back to life. So the narrator still lives, and the only person who’s still dead is hatty. RIP :(

This game actually made me cry the first time I played. In rage and sadness.
OHHHHHH Hatty's hat blasted the bear and that's how the bear died in the first cutscene of pit people
There was a pretty good theory on Gamefaqs regarding this issue.
Some guy hypothesized that Hatty is not truly dead. Here are some reasons (that I remember):
*Water: Throughout the game we were led to believe that the characters could not swim. Perhaps the "water" throughout the levels wasn't really water. Look at the levels again, most of the time the level of the "water" is low enough for the characters to actually stand up in. Hard to believe they would drown in something they could walk in.
Plus it is unlikely that Hatty, being the find gentlemen that he is, would take his friends sailing without knowing they could swim.
*The red/green glow of the hat: Go back to the cutscene that explained the hat's origin (where it was blessed and then cursed soon after). When the hat was blessed it turned "green" but when it was cursed the glow changed red. Since the hat emitted a green glow at the end of the game it could be said that Hatty actually beat the curse.
*The Bear: Throughout the "Buckle Your Pants" song you see an ominous shot of the bear rising in front of the Earth. In the background you have a shot of the Hatty being controlled by the evil cats. Perhaps the "bear" was actually the harbinger of destruction and Hatty used the hat to save the world!
There was a lot of stuff (a lot more) that the guy typed. I just can't remember it all.

There's also the theory that the narrator is actually the spirit of Purrham who possessed the hat.
It makes more sense than the dead bear being the narrator.
He was the most noteworthy friend on board. Hatty was like King Friend of Friendship Kingdom, best friend to one and all, and the walking definition of handsome gentleman.

It actually does. Since pit people came out, it's entire story got connected to this very scene, and it makes an awful lot of sense.

Technically the behemoth games are in the same world the only question is when does castle crashers take place, since alien hominid and battle block take place at the same time and pit people takes place in the after math

One of the most frustrating game I've ever played... Yet my favorite.
The timeline of the three games. First, the events of bbt happen. Then, the lazer send alien hominid crashing down and the events of alien hominid. Then, the dead hatty washes up to the dock in castle crashers where he is dragged to the insane store and out on a reviving stand (as seen in the insane store in castle crashers remastered) and then you revive him.
Man this brings back memories. I can’t believe it’s been more than 10 years. I want to go back.

Yeah, the game starts with the alien getting shot from space and crash landing in a city, then the FBI takes the parts of his ship away. It was implied the FBI were responsible for shooting the alien out of space but it was actually Hatty Hattington's hat.
