Irish and Scottish people aren't the original people of Britain only the Welsh and Cornish are. After the collapse of Britain the Angles left what was the original England in the border between Germany and Denmark to settle in Britain and then the Danes settled the land that we left so England wasn't in Britain until the English invaded it from the Welsh.

The old BBC series the Story of English is very interesting indeed. At one point English was a 2nd class peripheral language in its own place, nearly driven out of use.

Exactly! I am a regular visitor to Andalucia in Spain and the Brits are now outnumbered by 60,000 Finland Nationals. They have moved there for the same reasons as the British. The English are English due to it being a place called England. Jutes, Angles & Saxons of Germanic/Celtic heritage and ethically related to Europeans. The Danish are not called Germans, have a look at a map and see where the Jutes came from. Did Arabs spring from the ground? Multiple groups of people intermixing over generations hence the different ethnic tribes that are all related, its a ,simple concept that has gone right over your head.
