  • How does the Jehovah's Witnesses' Governing Body use older members, whose lives were shaped by strict religious rules, to advise younger couples? In this video, we explore the potential consequences of relying on advice rooted in hardship and sacrifice, and what it means for the future of younger Jehovah's Witnesses. Is it ethical, or is it a method of control? Let's discuss the real-life impact on those seeking guidance within the faith.

We were told back in the 80's we didn't have time to pursue personal goals ..end was soooo close now!
    We were mislead.

I ❤ Dorothy. I was told that I would never get old enough to finish school, my sons are 18 and 23 and have finished school and I'm glad that I didn't wait for the new system to have them 💙💙

so many have given up so much, a good life, children, grandchildren, education, farms and businesses, in the expectation of biblical prophesy. the graves are simply filling with those who believed the words, again and again and again. no one knows the day or hour. the world is ripe for revelation. but it was ripe during world wars one and two. there is a part of me that wishes they were right all along. but God has never given his people false hope. he has never asked his people to give up so much, for nothing. with so much at stake, one would think clarity above all, a simple choice yes or no. but whoever the god is that is leading this religion, it seems to be 'by the nose', only. and hope for the best. it is beneath God to do this to people. he is better than that.

They caused this, andnow they are shaming peoplefor feeling discouraged. I was denied college because the end was coming in1975. Ñow, 49 years later, my elderly relative says she can't believe we're still here. She's depressed. What a cruel and wicked organization to pretend they never said these dates.

Yes like Stephen Lett said: The final part of the last days of the final part of the final part before the last day of last day!

These people are so disconnected with reality that they actually think these videos are encouraging.

Very thoughtful analysis, thank you. My thoughts are about the elder. Imagine, when his wife “gives up on Jehovah“, probably what proceeded that moment were many many many conversations and arguments between them. When the crisis escalated, he chose not to listen to his wife, and interpreted all of her pleas as anger. He disassociated himself from her. He wrote her off. Damaged goods. When the chips were down, he chose the organization over his wife.
That’s a real disgusting level of brainwashing and hate that the organization places on its members.
And this video “sanctifies” his act of destroying his marriage in service to the organization. Pitiful.
The same is likely to happen to the young couple as well, because his counsel is to ALWAYS choose the organization over one’s spouse.
And to answer your question, good or bad, they always come down on the side of “control”, without regard to the welfare of their members, or the health of their marriages.
After all, it’s a high-control group that practices “negative social control”. That’s their shtick.

Four years ago my mom said, "You've left Jehovah." I still love Jah and read my bibles. The disciples never left Jesus because he had sayings of truth. JWs don't have that. That is why they hide behind their carts and don't explain anything. They tell you to go to the website to learn more. They're afraid of truth. Otherwise they'd defend it.

Ah, look at Watchtower, finally copping to their 1975 prediction. It's fascinating to see them acknowledging that this is a doomsday cult and that they've kept (overlapping) generations constantly in emotional overdrive and that said emotional overdrive is exhausting.

They set the dates, not the followers. The only reason they’re being this up now is because people are widely learning about it and they have to steer the narrative.

I think it's terrible and mean to exploit these poor witnesses in this way.
