@lilyrose0116 i still see NCT as mostly "boyish". Even stuff like Kiss, Baby don't stop or the more explicit songs feel... performative. The same goes for JK's Seven. Not to say that they aren't all adults, but... 2PM was just so matter of fact "this is who we are and what we do and you know we do it and do it well."
The last time, i kinda felt that energy and vibe from an idol, was Baekhyuns Bambi🤔 that was perhaps the closest to the maturity and confidence 2pm exuded
@@leowa399 Baekhyun definitely has that energy when he chooses to (and his Japanese album is the epitome of it to my mind).
I've always enjoyed 2PM's concept and style over the years (in addition to their acting careers). They have always gone their own way and that is so cool. This MV however I just don't enjoy watching (enjoy listening to the song) I think it has to do with the way it was shot. I don't mind the various couple scenes, those are great. It's the scenes with members in a chair staring at the camera while a faceless/headless woman is next to them... it's just creepy to me and I immediately find it quite jarring.
simon's face at 5 minutes in is KILLING ME. i literally had someone ask what i was laughing at ksjdfgh im DYING. the open mouthed stare of complete shock lmaooo
2pm is just SO special, such a strong talented group

Nobody does it like 2 PM. They changed the game as soon as they debuted and there has yet to be anybody that can do it like them. no group has the same feeling/charisma as 2 PM.
hard to believe this song is over 10 years old .. it was such a significant part of teen me's kpop journey and my everlasting love for ok taecyeon lol .. my first ever bias :')
Oh my, 2PM! It’s really interesting that 2PM debuted just a few months after SHINee yet they’ve had vastly different group images. 2PM were slightly older than SHINee so they always went for a much more older sound and image. It’s been fun watching how each group grew up and matured in their careers.
Also, in hindsight, it’s weird to think that they were all just 23-25 when this video was filmed. So young!
I think it's great they had extremely different group images from the beginning. One, I just love the variety we got during 2nd gen. But mostly, Taemin was 14 when SHINee debuted so if they had had an "older" concept in their early years that would have been so gross and inappropriate.
At the same time, I wish we fans could just enjoy the variety without having to rank/compare groups or concepts to each other. I know Taemin got called "too girly" a lot and that is just not okay.

It's 2PM, you should expect this kind of sexiness and more. They are known for this. Since many are suggesting the live stages, I suggest watching the dance practice of ADTOY.

The guy you said has a lot of charisma is Jun.K! He's the oldest and main vocalist (as you could hear lmao). He is on the list of one of the best vocalists in kpop and sadly he's very underrated in a way! He's also my ult btw
2PM remain my bias despite now liking many other KPop groups - their group energy is amazing and they really look(ed) after all of their junior groups at JYP, especially GOT7 and Stray Kids. check out any of their variety or behind the scenes stuff if you want a lot of laughs. Plus there is a ton of KDramas to watch with Junho, Taek and Chansung in!
Just when you think you have 2PM figured out with the sexy concept you will be surprised by their crazy concept. Y’all should check out their GO CRAZY M/V.

Thank you for reacting to 2pm. As a fan I enjoy seeing people still checking them out. I still get chills listening to ADTOY even though I've probably heard it at least 100 times. Their live performances of this song...every performance....are even better than the MV. I hope you continue on the 2pm journey and perhaps branch out to their solo careers. The 2 that have a more extensive solo career from 2pm are Junho and Jun K. BTW....2pm performed 4 concerts last fall in celebration of their 15th year anniversary. 2 concerts in Seoul and 2 in Japan. 2pm has an extensive discography and concerts in the Japanese market.
From the get go 2pm was marketed as "beastly" idols...mainly because they incorporated a lot of acrobatics into their performances. They had to master acrobatics before they were allowed to debut. But, they also were marketed as sexy idols even though they were in their early 20's...which I find kind of amazing because of how young they were. But they were able to pull it off because they looked more mature. If you compare them to Shinee who was from the same era...Shinee was the pretty, young boys...2pm the manly "men" even though they are of a similar age. They were also more physically bigger and stronger....also leading to the "manly" image. So all their early videos show that mature sexiness. There are some live performances that will really blow people's minds with the pure sexiness ie. Back 2U. Great song....very sexy...lol...I try to avoid it.
The talent of these guys has also transitioned to acting. Junho, Taecyeon, Chansung and Nickhun also act. Junho and Taecyeon have had the most success with Junho being able Idol to win Best Male actor for several dramas but his biggest accomplishment was winning Koreas's most prestigious Best Male Actor award for his performance in The Red Sleeve. He was the first KPOP Idol to ever win this particular award and basically broke that "glass ceiling" and that impression the Idols can't act. He changed the industry's mindset on this belief. So 2pm...with 15 years of experience in the entertainment field is pretty special.

"A.D.T.O.Y. (All Day Thinking Of You)" is the perfect example of why 2PM are called the original Beast Idols. They are all sexy men. Just wait until you see them perform this live in concert, believe it or not, some of their live performances of "A.D.T.O.Y. are even more sexy than this. LOL (In live performances they remove their neckties and use them for bondage and they even have a stage where they took off their belts. LOL) But the sexyness factor aside, you should check out some live performances of theirs because they are even better live.
Who else are the beast Idols? There are some groups that have a couple of Beast members but not all like 2pm.
@@allysonwolf5721even though i personally wouldn't call them such, Monsta X has been referred to as Beast Idols (or 2pm's true juniors) by koreans when their performances/members started gaining serious traction over there during the last few years. also as 2pm's natural juniors Got7 sometimes does get called that way as well. but honestly i've never seen any group/members being called Beast Idols as if it was its own thing within the kpop sphere and not just as an easy way to compliment the pretty rare "mature idol" qualities they'd share with 2pm who still pretty much remain as the one and only true "Beast Idols".
@@user-qe3zy7cv3c Yeah true. When Korean pop culture commentators and media talk about "beast idols" (jimseungdol) in the history of K-pop they are almost always referring to 2PM. The "jimseungdol" title is practically 2PM's own category.

No one can pull off this concept as well as 2pm. They were called beastly idols for a reason. They went for the sexy mature concept even from their debut song and mv. And some of the reasons they can pull this off so well are their physiques and charisma. They are all tall masculine guys ( the shortest being 178 cm) who spend a lot of time in the gym. JYP chose and trained them to fit this concept so well. Even if you look at their debut survival show, it was nothing like the other survival shows you see these days. They literally went through hell in that program. None of them even wants to recall those days. They went through harsh military training as some teenagers which led to some unpleasent memories but the only good point was it made their bond so much stronger than it was before and now they have one of the strongest bond and friendship among members that you can find in any kpop group. They are truely each other's family, sometimes even closer than their blood related family.
