as a person raised on strong eye contact i gotta ask, where do you look if not their eyes? somewhere else on their face or just avoid their person? and would it make you uncomfy if someone was making eye contact w you even if you werent making eyecontact with them bc i dont wanna make anyone uncomfy bjgndnr /gen
@@chae-wolfbun I usually just find my self looking around the room when I’m speaking with friends or family who understand, or if I am in a situation where it is impolite to avoid eye contact, it’s a struggle but I usually look at someone’s nose because then to the other person it looks like I’m making eye contact. As to the second part, I don’t care if other people look at my eyes, it only becomes an issue if I look back.

Same. My family used to try to “fix” it by forcing me to make direct eye contact while talking to them or other people, now people tell me it feels like I’m staring through them.
