Nice and friendly ruleset!
I have found it helpful to add 'tap-out' to the playset. A player may tap their partner to indicate their signal that it is the 'end' of that specific interaction.
I have found myself in a position where I am sure I have my partner 'out' and they do not feel so. In that case they can 'try things' to extract themselves. In other cases I am sure that I do not have my partner 'out' and they are sure they are out and they panic and struggle to 'get away'. The tap-out reduces misunderstandings.
