It is tailored more for men because women have figured edc out way earlier... it's called a purse. 😉 i think it's awesome there are more female focused edc videos. Tbh many "female" edc essentials are way more useful in daily life. 🤔
Watching this video makes me feel so comfortable and happy rn, I used to carry extra stuff around with me and I was told I was being crazy for packing so much or taking random items in the car or bag, so I stopped carrying anything. It's so inspiring to see your set up and how compact you can be in that little case. Going to start my kit/kits now lol

I started carrying an EDC three months ago and it goes in every purse with me. It has all kinds of things in it and then I have a whole kit in my car that has stuff in it for an emergency so I am set. Yes definitely videos for all those bags :D

Been carrying an EDC bag for years. Carry some lint from your dryer and Vaseline. Lights super easy for a fire. I carry and old pill bottle full of quarters...($10) great weapon in your fist for a punch!!

Nice kit. I have a similar kit (not in pink though). I made a trip to the bathroom and the fire alarm went off. Fire Marshals we’re not allowing us to get back to our desks. This included my car keys. Note to self, always keep these items on your person.
I love EDC videos. I think this is the first one targeting the ladies. I would suggest an emergency shelter/sleeping bag and a flashlight (don't remember if you have one in your edc).
I have had an EDC longer than I knew that term! My fave TV show is Criminal Minds & when they mentioned a “go bag” it got me thinking that I wanted to have items ready to go if needed to leave quickly.
At the beginning of the year I ended up in the hospital (not Covid) my daughter brought me a bag & she knows me so well, it was everything I needed for a few days. I did have my purse though & my EDC would have been everything I needed. 😁

More fantastic info thank you. I make quilts but I also sew pouches, bags, totes, backpacks and you have inspired me to start making some pouches and bags that are personalized in size based on how I will be organizing. I love sewing with vinyl, there are some great sparkly vinyl and faux leather, can’t wait to make some. Especially since I have yards and yards of rainbow as well as rose gold zipper tape. Technically because of the purse, women have been mastering EDC a long time and just didnt know it lol One of my girl friends is getting into outdoors and preparedness so it was nice to be able to shoot her a link on this! I have several kits for different bags and some kits stay with certain bags, so have fun with it!
Few basics I'd recommend to a base kit.. lighter, flashlight(some designed for self defense), knife(basic cutting/opening needs/self defense, pepper spray(keychain size or larger),sharpie. The rest you can work on based on your daily routine.

I’m going in a weekend away... no water or electric with my man.... watched this video... going to Disney in a few weeks... you got me with all your videos! Your video is amazing finally a girls touch to the EDC I have went crazy with EDC too I carry tons of things everyday. I’ve been teased bout being ready the extendable magnet rocks especially when your short can’t reach things or dropped something. Plus I carry medical stuff with me and tweezers a needle and dental floss of course duct tape lighter just a few but awesome keep making these videos they’re awesome and the edc bag tin I got my soon to be 10 year daughter started with edc it’s great.
You always have great videos Lorna Marie. I am working on my EDC bag now. This was perfect timing. I would love to see what you carry in your backpack and in the 4 extra bags you showed that you didn't go over. You can never be too prepared in my opinion. As Moms we always put our family first and we take their needs into account. It's how we roll. Hey LM, my twins girls suggested I watch you vids & I find it very inspiring & functional. My girls watch your show to be inspired & getting ideas for their kit. Some suggestions: As for the powder soap, you can replace it with a miniature squidgy bottle of either sanitizer or anti bacterial liquid soap. It's a multi purpose detergent for anything. The other perhaps it's best to get a small compact compass with a magnifying glass/mirror. Other than that you've got it all pack to the "T" matey. I put together the hot pink first aid kit...soooo awesome! I've refreshed our bug-out (72hr bags), have refreshed my EDC, my purse, and my daybag. I love that you have fun girly items. As much as I love to go full blown tactical...I love a blinged out lighter and rose gold everything! You are awesome! I’d love to se everything in the pouches. I also carry a credit-card sized multi tool. It can cut, open cans, bottle opener, has a wrench tool that can open various sizes of nuts and bolts and much more. It fits in the credit card slot of any wallet or built-in purse slots. I have a pink stabbing tool that has finger grips (it can’t cut, but you can jab it in someone’s eyes or throat if the situation came up. I have a small pink pepper spray that has a keychain and a small pink taser/flashlight. I got all the pink things from a Damsel in Defense party. I also bought a really nice black croc-faux leather CCW purse. The inside is pink so easy to see everything and the outside has a pocket with 2 vertical zippers and a holster that Velcro’s in. It’s large enough to hold a 9mm in the front pocket and you could carry a larger handgun inside. You can carry your bag shoulder or crossbody and have your hand on your gun with both zippers open and never have to take it out of your purse. I still need to get my CCW permit. I also carry a few bandaids, Advil, moleskin in case of blisters. I also have a filtered straw where you can literally drink out of a swampy looking pond and the filter clears it up...it’s called the Lifestraw (we bought them for our hiking backpacks, but in the world we live in now, it’s good to keep one on you). Another tip is to put your contact info in your phone and name it ICE (in case of emergency). I list everyone close to me in case some aren’t answering their cell and I have my drs number , too. It’s a standard abbreviation used by all first responders if you’re unconscious and they need to get ahold of next of kin. I learned that from my friend who’s a safety manager for Chevron. And ai’m sure I’m forgetting a lot of things and not including what you already listed, but I keep a list of all my meds in my edc kit and also on my phone. I love how everything you have is still so cute and feminine. Great video!

Well, I think I read all the comments. One thing you may not know, but the matches like you have the "the pill" are not strike anywhere and typically need a striker.
You need to add an emergency mylar blanket or two. They take up no room, and could definitely be useful.
I have an emergency waterproof poncho too, the cheap festival type. Getting caught in the open with no coat in pouring rain - not good.
Here I am, thinking that EDC meant Electric Daisy Carnival 😂
For washing cups, etc on the go (mostly on vacation) I put a little dish soap on a paper towel and let it dry. Then when ready to wash something, I wet it and it reactivates the soap and paper towel makes a little sponge. I got this idea from the paper towels that had soap on it a couple of years back that they don’t sell anymore. This is so much easier to travel through airport services with too.

My hubby fell down the EDC hole this week, but as you said at the beginning, it's all about dudes. Thanks for making this video! I wear glasses and cannot drive without them, so my must-have tool is an eye glass repair kit.
Education is the best tool in the box folks ! Know your tools and how they work once you’ve collected the goodies. I keep an edc kit in my car and if you have an office job keep one in your desk. I started making edc style kits way before CZcams was a thing ! So. Long time now. 🤣🤣 I also keep a small edc pouch that’s a tiny makeup bag about the size of a 3x5 card ! that has every thing I need in it should I get stuck somewhere overnight unexpectedly. Personal hygiene needs, an extra pair of undies, prescription medicines and frequently used over the counter meds ( aspirin, Benedryl for bites or stings, anti diarrheal) . I do home care for dementia patients and I never know when I’ll be stuck overnight until the next care giver can arrive if someone calls in. But it came in more than handy when I was mildly injured and ended staying over night at the hospital. Great vid. Nice to see the female touch in these type vids. A wealth of help !!! 💕

I have that pink pen. Mine is black and I just realized it was that type of pen. Mine unscrews at the Stylus end and it has Phillips and a straight edge screw driver bits. Who knew! ♥️

The Elevator key!!! OMG! I was stuck in one about 10 years ago. I worked on the 12th floor and we beat the heck out of that elevator. But I got trapped in the elevator going into the parking garage. Nobody told me about that key. Thank you. I am buying one, for when we get to go back in the building. THANK YOU.
Other things I would include: phone charger card, charger cord, panty liner, some pain reliever, small coin towelettes, hair brush, Colgate wisp, dental picks,
Hiya. Love that you've done a ladies EDC. I always have to watch the men do these vids so it's great to see a woman do one. Just for your FYI those aren't water purification tablets, they are compressed towels. Add a little water and they open up into a face size towel. They can also be use for emergency toilet roll :)
Yay! Love this video! Good idea about the water purifiers! I read the book (Between A Rock and A Hard Place) he survived multiple days with his arm trapped by a falling boulder after what was supposed to be a easy day of hiking , amputated his arm with a pocket knife, but was so dehydrated when he got free that he drank from a stagnant water puddle and became deathly sick. I hike a bunch with my family and totally going to buy those tablets and several other items you featured! You have such great ideas and I appreciate all your research! 😘💃 keep up the videos! I have carried an EDC bag I just didn't call it that. But I have learned more about it for emergencies and survival.
I have started to become obsessed with prepping! Really need to up my EDC game!🥰
I always have a mini edc in my pocket. Its a mini pouch with odds and ends that I always need and use. I also use it as a wallet. It is very small but terrible. And people are always surprised when they see it. How it is heavilly packed yet still compact and organized. I was able to fit 30 plus items in it. And the pouch is just a palm size. This was inspired by AverageZoeBlog's Female OCD EDC Pouch, which is my favorite edc video. Aside from that, I have an on the go edc bag that is inside my larger office edc bag.

You have some wind proof and waterproof matches but no striker. You need a striker to light them. glue one to the bottom or side of the container or put one inside. I love that everything is pink

I love this I actually ordered a couple things you mentioned thanks! Also you should carry some birthday candles. They last longer than matches. Also a pencil sharpener you never know when you need to sharpen some wood. I loved this video and I’m the same as you I just have to have a purse with “Just In case” stuff. I love amazon 🥰. I just saw something on another video you would probably like. It’s called the “plus pen style twiggy scissors”. It’s scissors in the shape of a pen that pop out AND it comes in pink! They have great ratings too. (Amazon). I just put some in my cart.
This was interesting. My EDC bag- what I consider my EDC bag- is more like a purse essentials kit. It’s a little bag that goes with me everywhere, from purse to purse. Mine has some items needed in various emergencies- hair emergencies, when I forget something at home like earrings or perfume, medical emergencies, etc. I was a Girl Scout, so some of the tactical items made it into my EDC such as a flash light and Swiss Army knife. However, since I rarely hike or would find myself in a situation where I’d have to survive in the wilderness for a few days, a good portion of the survival gear won’t be in my EDC. I’d likely add those items to a day bag if I were to go hiking or camping. I can be a bit of a bag lady, so I tend to reevaluate what I include in my bag so that it isn’t too heavy. So, items I wouldn’t likely use such as waterproof matches while going to and from NYC would be relegated to when I attended something where I may use it. Lastly, I work in NYC so I think adding an elevator key to my EDC would be smart. 🛠🔨⚒🔧

I took my Mary Kay roll up bag and turned it into an emergency bag. The bag can be hung from a tree, and the zipper pouches can be pulled off. It keeps all the little stuff contained and organized neatly, I usually throw it in my larger bags. I am so glad I am not the only woman who loves pink preparedness items!

I carry a bag like that in my car to because we live in the southern California earthquake area. They make straws that are filters for water also. Both my cars have bags like this .My husband always wants to take them out of the car to put other things in and I say no leave them in there you never know when you’re going to need it. I have a machete in my truck :-)

You should check out this item call compressed towel... you can use them for disposable toilet paper, napkins ,baby wipes..they're for like emergency, camping, edc type things! I think you like them. Also, since ur in too safely taser the have thats not big jus right for woman or teenagers... personal key alarm that make a kind sound if you take the pin out... they have those for kids, adults, teenagers. I thought I send you some ideas I saw and got off tic- toc made me buy it. Lol but safely is a must now a days!
