Tati the best female singer in my eyes too, she blows the competition out of the water with her vocal range. MY goodness!, when tati sings 'I want it' metal sounds so brutal in Ukrainian, I've never wanted to learn it before, but how I do just to sing along with that song! I even found myself looking up the cyrillic alphabet the other day XD XD XD

I remember when I listened to Otep for the first time...I kinda liked Shamaya's sounds...And the band was alright...I ended up liking two or three songs and that was it....Eventually I grew tired of hearing her raspy voice..
Then comes Jinjer..
Now I'm about six months within the time I've been listening to them; there are like six or seven songs I can't get enough of, and I'm still discovering this band!...All of the sudden this kinda of sound coming from a female vocalist sounds really cool!
I can say now..Shemaya's got nothing on Tatiana...Sorry, Otep fans..
UPDATE: I was re-reading my comment here, and, after hearing in an interview with Tatiana somewhere here in CZcams that she liked Shamaya's style of singing so much that she'd decided that's what she was going to do...I thought at least I should give Shemaya the credit she deserves...If she was an inspiration to Tatiana, I shall give her my respect.....Like I said, at some point, she had called my attention with her voice...something no one in that genre had achieved before....Thank you, Shamaya, and Otep...If it hadn't been for that first ear warmup within the genre, with Otep, I would've probably not given Jinjer a second thought...

Saw Jinjer (w Devildriver) a few weeks ago in US. they opened with this song. Straight pit the whole time.

what i love much about this band is all of their music is so well thought out. and not just the vocals but the instruments, they blend so well together and every instrument just perfectly compliments the other. Jinger has stolen the hearts of many by storm through this alone.

Cool story about how I discovered this band:
4 years ago in mid March, few days after my 18th birthday I invited my best friend to have a pizza. We havent seen each other for a few months so it was a good occasion to meet. So we decided to go there on foot and ended up on Dnipro river embankment (that was in Kyiv). At some point we heard a loud noise. I thought there was construction site somewhere far ahead of us or something. That embankment that we were exploring than has some kind of concrete unfinished building or something like that. You can go through it or just go up the stairs and walk around the thing. As we were marching forward it became aparent that there was no contruction site anywhere around. In fact it was someone playing loud music. We saw a band that was inside that concrete building. As you can imagine the noise was not so much because they were playing so loud, but mostly because of the environment. It was pretty strange to see a band jamming in an open place like this. Especially considering that it's near historic city center so there's a lot of people going near the place. Then we noticed a few cameras set around the place so we figured out they were filming themselves. We decided to move out of sight, so we wont fuck up their filming. A month or more passes and my friend asked me "Do you remember the band we saw back then?" and sended me link to this video. That's how I discovered Jinjer.
Now 4 years later I came back here and now this song reminds me of that day - 16th (or 18th maybe) March 2016.

Know them since 2013 at one mini fest in Varna, Bulgaria. Tatyana stays close to me and sing while listening "This Love" of Pantera. I just see unknown, but beautiful chick :) We say cheers to each other. On the next day I saw her at the stage with the rest of the band. I have no other choice except to become their fan :) They are amazing band! I was on few their gigs then, and now I'm glad to see them with big label behind the band. Jinjer is pure gold, and Tatyana is the best frond lady on the extreme metal stage now.
