- Join me as I take my first steps outside with crutches after a recent foot injury. It's been 3 days since I started using crutches, and this is my first time venturing outdoors. I’ll share my experience of adapting to life on crutches, the challenges I face, and how I’m overcoming them. @JohnnyStrides walks with me to the nearest cafe in Toronto, and it was pretty challenging!

Try knee rover, or I walk free a lot better then crutches! Try I.V Vitamin drip for accelerated healing bone Cartlidge scar tissue etc. preventative health will help tremendously, Arnica internally for the SHOCK alone allows blood flow for shock takes a few weeks or more to leave the body, just saying. Milk too processed better I.V drip

You're doing really well ActionKid. I busted my foot, but because of my inability to handle crutches had to use a walker. Crutches are not easy.

Just so you know, the crutches are NOT supposed to be placed in your armpits. Place the top of the crutches on the fatty part of your body just under the armpits. This placement shouldn’t be painful. I know this is a big deal to you now, because it’s your first real injury. Your friend has given you good and true advice. Soon, this injury will be a memory. Onwards and upwards. Good luck. And take your friend out to lunch or dinner for all the help he’s giving you!

Oh I feel your pain, Ken. I have had to use crutches more than several times in my life and each time it was so hard to get used to those crutches. You definitely should look into getting the knee scooter Johnny mentioned. Kudos to Johnny and your other friend(s) for helping you out. Wishing you a speedy recovery. ❤❤

This was a tremendous feat you just accomplished AK. Walking on crutches is not easy and the distance you traveled is amazing. I'm sure your arms were sore the next day. Please don't injure any other part of your body trying to do too much on crutches. I tore my meniscus in my right knee getting up from a chair while I was on crutches for a left foot injury. Good luck with your progress.

Hey AK, sorry again about your injury. You have to do what you have to do to get around. It is not easy, I have been on crutches, a cane and aai always stay creative on how and what to do by trial and error. Yep AK, continued best wishes to have a speedy recovery toward some sort of normalcy. Johnny, thank you for assisting Ken to help him get around.
Mix of emotions watching this : There were a few moments in this vid that was a hard struggle for you but it was also inspirational bc it’s a clear as day that you’re a fighter not letting this completely cripple you physically , mentally and emotionally. Hey Action Kid, I just got my crutches yesterday and I’m having the most difficult time ever using them as they look exactly like yours and they are very slippery inside my home so maybe I need to try outside. Thanks for the tips on stairs as they never even told me about that! 🥺 I hope this goes by fast for ya because these crutches are definitely not for us and I can’t even make it to the car and back 😫 thanks to your friend for helping ya and giving ya lots of confidence and courage. Get better. I know the pain and dizzyness after using crutches. I broke my ankle years ago and after a few months I recovered 100% and you will too!

Great to see you getting out and about Ken, but do know from personal experience what you are going through. Glad Johnny is/was there to help out.
