They did this time before i got my result i looked and it said to get a 4 you need 136 marks all together and for 5 you need 166 marks thats for Edexcel at least for the november retakes

Hegarty is very good, I’ve done one exam in year 10 this year and it helped because I scored 33/50 and beat two classes I’m gonna keep using hegarty to higher my marks give my self a better chance at a level 5 in GCSE maths

@@Eliza_daniel1 I got Corbett maths revision cards and they worked wonders and did past papers, don’t forget to revise formulas there’s a chance they can come up and it also depends on the exam board I was doing Edexcel a few years ago and I only use to scrape a 2 which I switched to a different college and they happened to do Aqa maths and managed to get a 4 with them it’s a lot easier than edexcel but yeah just keep revising I also revised from the maths cgp book aswell. You just have to work hard and it will be worth it at the end

Izzy xo I started in January and I started to see improvements in April time. It going to be a long process but if you stick to it you will do fine. I was getting 2 about this time last year. But just keep doing pass papers and talking to your teacher about it. Just don’t be scared. At the end of the day it only a a4 piece of paper it does not define you and if you told me that this time last year I would not have listen but I promise you it does not matter you still will get a job and your life will carry on I promise ❤️

what do you do when people make fun of you for your GCSE grades Like if I get a 3 in GCSE math and some guy who doesn't like you in a friend group gets an 8 Then they start making fun of your grades in front of everyone saying "you know your stupid when you can't pass GCSE math lol" or "get a 4 in GCSE math then talk"
First of all, they are not your friend. A friend is someone who is supportive and will be there for you in good and bad times, but I understand where you are coming from tho. I look up to all my friends as they are so so smart! And I was always the one who was getting the lowest scores and sometimes felt stupid. But hey, you just got to tell them and yourself that at the end of the day it is just a piece of paper with a number on it. It does not define you and your worth as a person. And you really should not hang around people that laugh and make fun of you when you don’t succeed. Xx

I’m in year 11 and I’m shit at maths (I can’t even do basic, also bottom set) ,we didn’t even get to do year 10 mocks coz of corona🙄 I’m extremely bad at maths and I just wasn’t to at least get a 4 so I don’t have to resit. Also do you have revision advice because writing it down, mind maps, notes, constantly reading and writing it down don’t work for me at alll and it’s causing me so much stress!
You overloading your self, you do not need to do every revision techniques find what works for me it was watching videos about maths that talk you through it and then I did exam questions on that topic if you want to do that use corbett math or my math or herarty maths but it ok I changed my grade in 4 months before the exams and just don’t cause your self stress or els nothing will work take it a step at a time xx

Have you asked to try and take a higher science paper as a mock. I did foundation math but high sciences as I did a higher paper and got a 9 in it. So they moved me up. And remember you don’t have to stay at your school to take a levels, different collages and sixth forms have different entry levels. So I would recommend looking around as well xx
Well if your achieving good grades in science and doing higher sciences. I’m unsure why they would not allow you to do a level science. Maybe look around and at different colleges as I was getting grade 4 in maths but grade 9s in sciences and most colleges accept me to do physics x

Personal you need to try at get at least 40 marks in each to pass but you could fail one paper and do really really well in another but yes you really just need to pass all the papers

It is ok. You have 3 weeks that loads of times. Just keep doing practice questions and watching videos on topic you find hard. Practice question are so good but just keep trying and all I can ask for is for you to do your best and in 3 weeks walk out of your mock knowing you did your best and that there nothing you can do or change because you did your best xxxx.
CCaitlin Officials I made stupid mistakes 😭 literally I remember during the mock I had a headache so I feel asleep half way sksksk🤣 but now I looking back on it I gained the marks on my own when I revisited the paper
JamVlogs start to find out the best way to revise. Try multiple techniques such as flash cards , mind maps, video etc etc and once you figure out how you learn best and remember thing best start using them techniques to learn all your year 10 work it never to early to start revising ❤️❤️
Your a mature student ❤️ just keep working. At the end of each week sit maths papers at home to see if your revision techies are working if they are not change what your doing till you come out doing better. But keep your head held high!

In foundations I know it above 45 marks per paper but depend on your exam board too

Reuven Heffernan just keep working on doing past papers and keep up your revision. As well as have a positive attitude towards it you will pass just believe in your self ❤️

Just do the gcse higher papers you only need 14% to get a 4
Some teachers won't let you do higher if you get a bad grade 😭

what do you do when people make fun of you for your GCSE grades
Like if I get a 3 in GCSE math and some guy who doesn't like you in a friend group gets an 8
Then they start making fun of your grades in front of everyone saying "you know your stupid when you can't pass GCSE math lol" or "get a 4 in GCSE math then talk"
First of all, they are not your friend. A friend is someone who is supportive and will be there for you in good and bad times, but I understand where you are coming from tho. I look up to all my friends as they are so so smart! And I was always the one who was getting the lowest scores and sometimes felt stupid. But hey, you just got to tell them and yourself that at the end of the day it is just a piece of paper with a number on it. It does not define you and your worth as a person. And you really should not hang around people that laugh and make fun of you when you don’t succeed. Xx

I’m in year 11 and I’m shit at maths (I can’t even do basic, also bottom set) ,we didn’t even get to do year 10 mocks coz of corona🙄 I’m extremely bad at maths and I just wasn’t to at least get a 4 so I don’t have to resit. Also do you have revision advice because writing it down, mind maps, notes, constantly reading and writing it down don’t work for me at alll and it’s causing me so much stress!
You overloading your self, you do not need to do every revision techniques find what works for me it was watching videos about maths that talk you through it and then I did exam questions on that topic if you want to do that use corbett math or my math or herarty maths but it ok I changed my grade in 4 months before the exams and just don’t cause your self stress or els nothing will work take it a step at a time xx

I need help. Basically I want to do science a level, but I cant bc i'm dong foundation maths. I got a grade 5 in my mocks but they aren't moving me to higher. What do I do 😭😭🤧 I've spoken to them but they said no. My science grades are good tho :( it's not fair how I cant do my fave subject just bc of my maths.

Have you asked to try and take a higher science paper as a mock. I did foundation math but high sciences as I did a higher paper and got a 9 in it. So they moved me up.
And remember you don’t have to stay at your school to take a levels, different collages and sixth forms have different entry levels. So I would recommend looking around as well xx

Well if your achieving good grades in science and doing higher sciences. I’m unsure why they would not allow you to do a level science. Maybe look around and at different colleges as I was getting grade 4 in maths but grade 9s in sciences and most colleges accept me to do physics x

You will be fine, you just have to put more work in. My parents didn't do well and they are really successful
To pass maths, do you have to pass all three papers or can you get a low grade but the mark totals to a pass? If that makes sense
Personal you need to try at get at least 40 marks in each to pass but you could fail one paper and do really really well in another but yes you really just need to pass all the papers

It is ok. You have 3 weeks that loads of times. Just keep doing practice questions and watching videos on topic you find hard. Practice question are so good but just keep trying and all I can ask for is for you to do your best and in 3 weeks walk out of your mock knowing you did your best and that there nothing you can do or change because you did your best xxxx.

JamVlogs start to find out the best way to revise. Try multiple techniques such as flash cards , mind maps, video etc etc and once you figure out how you learn best and remember thing best start using them techniques to learn all your year 10 work it never to early to start revising ❤️❤️

Your a mature student ❤️ just keep working. At the end of each week sit maths papers at home to see if your revision techies are working if they are not change what your doing till you come out doing better. But keep your head held high!

what average score/percentage/ marks do you need to get a grade 4 in maths?
depends on exam board and if you do higher or foundation. foundation on the aqa exam board you need to get 40 marks on each paper x
what about me I don't have much apps to use as I home school but school provides me with apps to use I have 2 years to practise for Gcse so any advice for me?
Use the apps that you have been given and all my advice works for people who are and aren’t home schooled. Find out what exam board you are using and use there website
