Lana’s repertoire is better than average everywhere in the world, if you’re even better than her and know a lot of people around you who are too, you’re probably privileged either by your economical situation or your country’s educational system, or both. Nijat Gasimov no its much deeper than that. She meant that the current state of the world and the USA in particular has grabbed the attention of a free & creative mind usually not caught up in the system. She clearly is a very thoughtful person and to compare this era we live in to the art of a previous creative and (in somewhat similar) mind of a bygone era on the corruptions of ‘The American Dream’ she wonders what they would think with a smile. As she knows that is probably what they would do when they realised how right they were.

She has a connection with young men too. Straight young men. Born to Die was an album that came along when I was around 18/19 and made me feel like someone was there with me when I felt alone and scared of life. Used to listen to it on the bus on the way to my apprenticeship. One of my favourite albums and have been a fan ever since. I would fold in half in front of her. When you find music or a film that is perfect for the day or time in your life you develop a super deep connection with them and I have that for her music. It’s the same with me and Alicia Key’s “As I Am,” and Leona Lewis’ “Spirit.” Both albums hold deep nostalgic value to me. Both came out the same year and day (November 9, 2007). Can’t believe it’s already been over a decade ago since then. Shows how short life is...

I love Lana’s authenticity. Her songs tell real stories. Her lyrics are poetic and beautiful, not rhyming for rhyme’s sake as she mentioned. Her voice is sultry and emotional. What more can we ask for in an artiste. It stirs up so many memories and emotions in me.

She is so unique as artist. Her singing voice is not normal in this day and age. It’s very refreshing! Her sound is very refreshing! Sultry and dangerous in her music is simple but BEAUTIFUL! it’s hard to find true talent and uniqueness in this day in age in all genres of music. Everyone sounds the same, creates the same sound, and even looks/acts the same. It’s very annoying!

@@gamesmaster1060 Maybe that's just your own opinion of what you find good. It's hard to find anything that is ever on the same level or artistry as Lana's. Of course there is good music out there, but the point is is that in today's world it's hard to find. She was probably referring to music of Lana's type.

One thing I first noticed about her voice, when I first started listening to her, is how wide her range is. She can go from really low, soulful chest voice to very high, angelic girly voice in a couple is bars.
I really enjoy singing and am pretty decent, but i have a hard time with lower notes, so that's something i really noticed with her music.
