9:26 One thing I've noticed: Under the WiFi card, below it's screw you can see a connector.
In other videos I've seen this laptop can come out with a HDD that is connected to this connector via a flat cable.
This means this laptop is indeed upgradable for a SATA III 2nd storage device, the motherboard supports it. I've never seen this kind of connector for this specific use before.
So my question is: How would it be possible to find and buy such flat cable? Is this a common or a proprietary one? (it doesn't look to be proprietary since all connector seem to be standard ones).

Another edit: This seems to be it! Includes the cable and the mounting plate for the HDD (although for a SSD, with no mechanical parts, I would be happy enough fixing the drive in place with some Blue Tack).

@@googlekullancs4772 I've actually bought that flat cable from the official Acer seller from my country and a cheap SSD. It is confirmed, it works.
Just bare in mind that you first must unscrew and lift the WiFi card in order to be able to fully fit the flat cable in the motherboard's plug.

Hej good info on video. i dont know wether you will read this as the video was 2 yrs ago but here goes. I bought an acer aspire 3 in 2023 and it has been great up till a few days ago when i was shutting it down for the night i got the typical message of update and shut down, which i did. The next morning i started up my laptop, the screen came on i logged in using my code then pressed enter then the screen went black. yes. black, i could see my mouse cursor but nothing on the screen. So i am at my wits end on what to do. I have tried turning it on and off and using the alt , windows key etc but nothing seems to work. when i turn it off and back on again i get the same thing, log in with code then black screen. I have important data on it. Can it be fixed or do i need to buy a ssd reader so i can access my ssd drive ? Thanx for any tips

The current card has a bad driver that is not maintained/updated by manufacturer and keeps crashing my win 11. It also is responsible for audio/video delay while watching youtube videos.

I installed an 8gb ram last saturday in my Aspire 3 and I'm now realizing it didn't come with a 4gb ram, like in the video (it's the same model), and I'm very confused (the battery plug was glued too, so it had been opened before buying it, by the sellers probably). The Task Manager and the System info says it had "two slots", but I only plugged the new ram in the only available one and now it has 12gb (but only 9gb usable)
Aalso I noticed the GPU says it has 2048 mb of memory, and before installing the 8ram it had 512mb.
the reason why it show s 9 gb usable because of the radion integrated gpu, unlike graphic cards which has dedicated memory , radion uses a part of the ram as the video memory , I am using the same model with 8 gigs but actually getting only 6

Hi! I have a question about this laptop, i have a problem with the keyboard. I disconnect every flex and cable to do manteinance on the motherboard, clean cpu fan, change the thermal paste and installed a new m.2 ssd , a clean win11, everything ok,as far as i know. Now the keyboard is not working anymore, it only work on BIOS. I've tried installing different O.S and the problem persist. Do you have any idea what's going on? please help ;(

Can Acer Aspire A315-23 Ryzen 3 maximum capacity of ram reach 20gb if upgraded to ryzen 5 or 7?
i think max ram capacity isnt the 20 gb. it might be 32 gb.
If i could find this video 7 months ago i wouldn't buy this laptop. İt has 1 ram slot and no separate GPU. I couldn't see there is any empty connection for hdd. You can only use SSD.
