This format works REALLY well, is not annoying, shows the gameplay, and your use of your wizard abilities is 10/10 and I really enjoy seeing someone who knows how to use the tools they have efficiently. 10/10!!! Keep it up!

Time for another month of watching other people play dark and darker while I wait to get my fix again. Remember, It may be tempting to try other hard substances and drugs, or some adrenaline junky shit like riding a roided up capybara through the mall to get some small sense of the high you get from plying this game, but don't do it! We can survive till we are allowed our next fix. Stay strong gamers.
This looks like a dungeon style version of moon online with a few graphic improvements. I love it by the way can't wait to be able to play
Once you get looted up with +magic dmg on wizard its just insane. They're pretty good just base, even naked, but once you get the LOOT they turn into 1v3 machines
Expect to get nerfed and kill all the fun..

Unless they nerf Haste, Wizard's will be mandatory in each party, how else can you counter Haste? I'd love for Cleric to have some sort of spell that strips spell buffs from a target

@@Ihitjoo rogues can go invi too, they are faster, they have faster interaction speed, opening portals and closing doors, plus they stab you in 1 second, rogues and rangers where the most played and best class in this playtest, so stop whinning. the worst clases where the barbarian since melee is very clunky and cleric

@@ivanbertuleit3057 Rogue has to sacrifice a perk slot just to move a few steps and then must wait out a cooldown. Wizard can recast invis immediately and can freely move for the entire duration. No way is that comparable. Most played class is irrelevant in an alpha that was most players' first experience with the game. Barely anyone knew what the meta was before the week was up.

god me and my buddy really do just need to get good after watching this, we kept getting plastered on our first runs by other new groups, didn't really like how we could fight 3's or 4's as just a duo.
dunno what this game is it, first time ever but although i know nothing but damn even i can say this man is good. This is exactly how a mage in combat in my imagination, although he been cornered, he use fireball so enemy have to hide then he quickly cast invisibility, a very smooth combat
sucks that Dark and Darker is leaving us, glad u make a lot of money for Fastest Way to Make Gold in Dark and Darker, im not typing like this because of the algorithm, it's just that Dark and Darker will definitely be missed and atleast we only have to wait til February for Dark and Darker. its the difference between hitscan and projectiles. hitscan hits whatever it aims at like a bullet,point aim fire. but a projectile is something like a arrow, slower travel time so aiming infront of a moving target is smarter. i hope i explained this well

They said the game would be loosely based off of DnD. At least the wizard interpretation from DnD is correct.
I loved the old playtests, when barbs didn't know how to throw axes. 3 barbs in the first 5 minutes, not a single axe flying. Good times.
Only wish there was a segment quickly showing what gear(and stats on em) you were rocking.

it's not totally gone. it was taken off for major updates. unlike hotfixes. these updates will be tested by the dev team themselfves. and a lot of good things will be added in. it'll come back in feburary

almost as if your main attack is ready any time you click! Imagine only getting 20 swings but you could recharge 5 swings every 30 seconds
@@shanefield7339 you mean the main swing that has like 4 feet of range, 6 feet if using one weapon? That i have to be running at you with, which gives you a chance to just gun me down like a dog with magic missile, or fireball, or zap, or lightning bolt, or… not to mention, you can go invisible, you can enchant your own weapon or others to become as deadly as a rogue, you can haste yourself to run away. You know what i can do? Swing a sword, and heal a little on demand once a dungeon run. And sometimes move a bit faster every like 30 seconds.
@@thecookiemeister5374 Yes, that is exactly what I mean. They both have versatility in different ways. The great thing about it though, you get to choose which class you want to play. If you like the versatility of a wizard, you can play that class. If you like the fighter's versatility, you can just as easily play that one. Hell, I hope this doesn't raise your blood pressure, but you can ALSO choose a ranged physical dmg character! (although the fighter can do that too). It's just crazy that they made it so every class can do something special.

@@thecookiemeister5374 heal, can use any weapon, can break barrels, can be a monster in melee and drop back and use a bow. Tons of HP and can be heavily armored. Can use a shield to block arrows and magic missiles.
Tons of utility. Every class is unique in their way, and some match up better and worse against others, the nature of life.
The fact that wizards have better stealth than rogues shows this game has a Long way to go

what is meditation used for? spell usage reset?
Yes, it regains spellcasts. It doesn't necessarily refill all of them to full, but each meditation will give you a handful of casts back spread among your spells.
