There are actually some hints Carcharodons were founded by Jago Sevatarion "Sevatar", First Captain of the Night Lords and Atramentar commander, using mix of geneseeds from Raven Guard and Night Lords. Not confirmed, though, they are playing with that notion a bit, giving a hint or two throughout the novels. We don't know the final destiny of Sevatar, and one of the last known things we get to know of him were his dreams of killing enemies of mankind in the void beyond the Imperium, and in the novels Carcharodons sometimes speak of their founder who cannot be named, and there was a GW article that specifically said Carcharodons are 2nd founding chapter, meaning right after Horus Heresy. No way they are of 23rd founding and use mark V power armour in such numbers. Also, send 41 dislikers to Carcharodon Void Fleet to serve as slaves until their deaths.
I have thought they were loyal Night Lords or at least the gene seed of stored Night Lords from Terra with Sevatar as their first chapter master. The last Sevatar story so explicitly hints that he founds the Space Sharks that it is a given IMO.
Carcharadons vs Executioners during Badab War sounds like one of the hypest fights no one talks about.
The amount of pure carnage that would of happened would be a site to see

Good ideas we will get on it
Suggestion - a series on what the daemon primarchs have done since the end of the heresy
Literally nothing. Besides angrons one foray out during the first war for armegeddon where the inquisition and space wolves started a civil wa *bang* .......
@Something Mildly Homophobic jesus you'd have thought they'd have stopped sulking just a bit by now
Space sharks like me get to play the jaws theme.
These are knight lords, they are too brutal to be raven guards. Yeah its night lords.
Funny because my local gaming store is doing a Badab Wars 2 using the same chapters and my next match is against the Carcharodons.
Have fun, good luck
that sounds like fun
How did it go ?
According to the Horus Heresy Book series, the Carcharodons are rumored to have originally been founded by the Emperor from the majority of the pre-Raven Guard XIXth Legion, especially the original Xeric tribesmen from pre-Unification Terra. The Xeric tribesmen were known as brutal slavers and exceedingly cruel overlords, and kept most of their unsavory practices, even after becoming a Space Marine Legion. Once Corvus Corax received control of his Legion, he grew to despise and hate the Xerics, and once his legion was mainly supplemented with recruits from his own homeworld, eventually decided to send the most brutal of the Xerics, as well as those who followed their culture, into the uncharted Outer Void of the galaxy on an endless, seemingly suicidal crusade, both as a way to be rid of them and as payment for their sins, as he could not bring himself to outright massacre thousands of his own sons (at that time). The remainders of the Xerics, as well as other unsavory elements of the XIXth Legion, were then systematically sent to the front lines of the Great Crusade by Corax to destroy their culture for good. It is also possible that the Carcharodon bloodline may be mixed with that of other renagades, such as Sevatar and other "loyalist" Night Lords, the Ashen Claws, another Corax-descended Renegade Chapter (Corax hated and exiled them too), as well as other more sporadic elements.
And this is the best universe that I can wish!

@@OneMindSyndicate carcharodons is what I meant
I think they are 100% Konrad Curze. That would *also* explain a lot! It would also explain why they're so vehemently loyal. They're compensating.
Suggestion- coming at this as a GM running a Rogue Trader game. Other than the "usual" archeotech weapons and armor one can find in a long abandoned (relatively safe) Imperial fortress (think Adeptus Arbites plus all Adeptus Terra minus the Adeptus Mechanicus), what would someone find? I'm thinking rare, clothing or unique items of stuff they already have but what else?
Suggestion- what types of religious relics are there?
Suggestion- what kind of documentation, maps, orders, etc. could one find in an ancient Imperial installation?
Suggestions - everything Chaos..
Especially Nurgles garden, deamonettes, and the biggest chaos cults
QUESTION: Why are there Primaris Dreadnaughts? Couldn't a Primaris Space Marine just be entombed into a previous version of a Dreadnaught?
you are forgetting a primaris marine is much larger than a regular space marine. thus a primaris marine could not possibly fit in a regular dreadnought. question answered.
But if the Space Marine wether Primaris, or not, are grave enough to be entombed into the Dreadnaught since it's basically a life support system I'm sure they hack off non essentials limbs like legs and arms
Because gw won’t sell more dreadnaughts then
@@Bekka_Toravu you have a point. IDK why they do not put them in regular dreadnoughts lol!
This sounds a lot like free thought.... It also sounds a lot like heresy.
2nd and later founding chapters are so underrated, except for the Black Templars.
Seriously good vid guys! ... but the
models!!! sweet jeebus are they amazing.
Their chapter master is awesome
Suggestion: necrons
Lost sons of the nightlords forever lurking the dark void between the stars forever hunting for a forgotten pentatense
They are Raven Guard
@@Nykona-Sharrowkyn Has that been confirmed? Last I heard they're chimeric in nature.
We strongly prefer them being loyalist night lord,
In the new rules i use fearsom aspect and whirlwind of rage .
Almost equivalent to both the terror tactics and the death to the false emperor abilities
David Mozeliak hinted at raven guard. But they’ve finally gotten their own novels now and it is strongly, strongly hinted at that they’re night lords. To the point where in the book red tithe a night lord captain almost has a nervous break down because he runs in to a company of them and he basically says they’re using our own tactics, they’re countering our own. Just who the f are these guys!
Do the libarians with precognition suffer seizures because i remember hearing that the nightlord libarians who used precognition suffer seizures as a part of the geneseed flaw
QUESTION: Hey OMS, love your content, you’re both top lads! My question is this.. I’m currently building a Tau army, I have around 2k points worth of mainly larger battle suits. I have a bunch of chaos, tyranid and random grim dark evil bits. How would you guys go about converting Tau battle suits to be chaotically tainted? And any suggestions for how they became traitors?
Hmmm... well the Tau have no real signature in the warp. They're not really blanks but they're also not interesting in the slightest to demons for real. I guess you can technically taint anything but my opinion would be to stop this heresy of mixing xenos and chaos and wait by your computer, an inquisitor will be by to advise you shortly.
Great video
Please read, in the book Silent Hunters, it talks about the home world guardsman gunner and his offworlder loader, and he says something along the lines of his familiar tattoos and marking on both the Carcharodons face
Wouldn’t that imply that there is a primary/home recruiting world?
I may have a new favorite chapter to play. 🦈
Great job thank u
Mysterious Space Marine Chapters would be a good series.
that's a good idea
Question?
Something I never understand.
How can you "warp travel" inside the eye of terror? Isnt the eye of terror in the warp?
As far as Ive understood, it seems the eye of terror "area" isnt in the warp but due to very thin "border" between real space and the warp in this area, areas in the eye CAN be in the warp, but doesnt have to be. As the eye of terror isnt the warp per se, rather the place with the "thinnest" border.
I might be stupid but it seems like diffrent books/authors have diffrent takes on it?
Pretty much just authors. Its supposed to be in the warp.
Is this question heresy?... It feels like it might be heresy.
Outdated. Which is odd, since this is a Nov 2019 post. Missing a lot of the new stuff from the new novels. Check out the Black Library if you want info on these guys. Even the summaries of the books give you quite a bit.
Marc Boutin imagine waking up in the morning and deciding to be a negative prick that goes out of his way to shit on content someone else made, for people that enjoy it. If you are such a warhammer 40k savant where your lore videos bub??

My favorite Chapter, right next to Black Templars, and both before Dark Angels.

Carcharodon Brothers, sound off!

It's Curse who is on a redemption mission with his new chapter
Maybe. Chapter Master Tyberos is taller and bulkier than most Marines, he is unusually fast for his size, uses lightning claws and possesses a violent and brooding personality. He is likely to be Curze.
A possible chimeric gene-seed of the Raven Guard and Night Lords.

Random fact carcharodon is the latin name of the family that great white sharks belong to
By god, they dont know what to invent.....
Except they aren’t a successor or the Ravengaurd. They are a chamaric mix of geneseed. Have you read Red Tithe and Outer Dark? Plus using now defunct non canon material from the FFG roleplay book. This video gets a C-
What if the tyrannids was creader by human by the virusbombs?? Is that even possible?? Im new on 40 k but is that possible??!
No mate they come from another galaxy
Yeah, Tyrannids have been confirmed to be from a different galaxy, attracted by the destruction of a couple ancient monoliths, that where basically citronella candles, and the light of the Astronomican which looks like food to them.
There is the theory that they were created by the old ones as sort of last ditch fire line and massive ark during the war with the necrons. Since the hive fleet contains all DNA that it’s encountered and can create anything they could also theoretically restore a planet exactly how it was before they nomed it
