YES! and that is why I would not buy any laptop/desktop with soldered RAM, storage, network card and other components.
@@alastairgreen_Nexus tbh most laptops have soldered cpu
@@hzssxn Indeed and its a sad reality for laptops. But at least there are some laptops that have SODIMM Ram instead of a soldered one
@Carl Grimes You need to buy a bmw or VAG car, you will like it. Unrepairble junk out of box.
@Carl Grimes i feel bad for you, bro. :(
I still don't know how this guy remembers where each screw goes.
Yea he is the goat of reparability....
I mean would be hard to just label the type of screw and the part it goes to and sorting the labels practically
@Oliver Chillery diagram*
Even when autocorrect exists, these things still happen
@@oopieswhoopies That doesn't tell him where each screw should be, though.
@@slickrick2420 well true , a bit of memory with some organization . It's not like there's random screws in random spots . There's different screws for specific parts .
Apple: We can't fit a headphone jack in the phone, its too big
Also Apple: We can fit over 100 screws in the phone tho
Also Apple: Just because it’s tiny tho.
No one really needs one anymore tbh, for all the flak they got for removing the headphone jack it seems they weren't wrong. Even more so once other companies started doing it too.

Ummm...... Bro

This is getting out of hand. Now there's two of them!
the way some people give life back to machines is just magical
by replacing almost every parts but that is okay. Those parts can be really gone for good.
@@BrainPermaDeD almost every part? you high, they just remove the broken parts...and re-use most parts from broken machines...i mean that's the whole thing how they makes huge profit out of it ..
see, outer layer is explosed to user and has more chances to get smashed...so it's logical to replace it with new outer layer...other than that, they hardly replace any inside parts
the guy who sold this iphone watching this:
i regret selling it i want it back...
until he realizes he needs 300 dollars worth of screw drivers just to take it apart
He said Tyler like if they knew each other. So doubt it’s some stranger.
He bought the Phone, let's suppose 1200 USD..
.
Then he would need to learn all the work i.e how to fix phone - weeks of training + buying all the hardware to repair the phone (screw drivers+ other hardwares) + then buying the Phone Parts for repairs (unless he doesn't want to open his own repair shop) = He will be in more loss than previously he sold the phone for 75 USD, so yeah he did the right thing by getting rid of it..

Imagine spending all that money just to find out it’s iCloud locked
me being a pessimist that's what I was expecting to hear.
At least the owner was kind enough to remove the iPhone from his Apple ID before selling it.
@@cappuccino-1721 Exactly. Lots of guys selling stoled iPhone with iCloud lock on facebook market and gumtree a lot. For $100 purchase, the buyer always has to take a huge risk for iCloud or FRP lock.
@@Finix.W I work for an authorized apple computer repair shop, sometimes we get the occasional iCloud locked phone. I tell them “the only thing you can do is reset your Apple ID password and login” sometimes still tell me some bullshit like “oh I don’t have access to that email address anymore, or oh I don’t have that phone number anymore”. At that point there’s nothing I can do. I’d say 9 out 10 of those are stolen phones or lost and found iPhones. The best case was when someone came in, had no access to their email address or no access to “their old” cell phone number to reset their password. I told him to call his old number to get the one time code to reset his Apple ID, as soon as I said that he said “I got to go” and left the store... 🙄 I guarantee that phone was stolen.
It was locked... He didn't show us how he unlocked it
It’s crazy how good Hugh is at repairing these such complex phones!
"complex" phones? These are overengineered moneyhogging pocket devices and the fact that people were so stupid to let apple start all this madness is a proof they're only smart in their own thoughts...

Iphone user : how many screws are there in this phone?
Apple : YES
It can never be too many.
I know this is a joke, but they need a lot of screws to be able to hold everything down, if they had 2 screws, then the phone would make noises, and if it was shaken too roughly, the phone would probably fall apart.

in 2 years time: replacing your iPhone 14 screen just involves removing 2000 screws with 13 diffrent head types, registering your face ID besides your social security number, score and vaccine tests with the new display, just after giving a drop of blood for you dna scan.
Apple: WRITE THAT DOWN!!! WRITE THAT DOWN!!!!!

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This comment had no right making me laugh this much 😂😂😂
I'd rather not use an iphone lol.
10:35 "Nothing alarming" is not what I would use in terms of describing using a previously bent battery. You really should replace it to insure you don't face any battery swelling in the future, which can apply pressure to internals, damage the display, and in the long run even "explode" under the right circumstances. I understand wanting to keep the price down on a repair video, but shrugging off a bent battery doesn't seem like something I'd do in a video that some people will be looking to for information on their own repairs.
Agreed! Wouldn't want to take that phone on an aeroplane!
it's actually not that terrible, for flying RC Quadcopters we use the same style LiPo pouch batteries and those things are getting abused all the time. It takes quite substantial and meticulous abusing to get one catching on fire. They puff a lot but almost never explode, they could catch fire though when they ripped open due to a crash.
This battery on the video is probably fine, there weren't any visible sign of damage there. I'd have put that to a "stress test" before assembling it though, run a heavy game from 100% to 0% then charge it up. If no puffing where it was bent it is most certainly in good condition.
Actually the battery is good no creasing on the outside and it wasnt bend that bad and other reason why he didnt want to replace it beacuse if he replaced it with another battery it wont show battery health beacuse every battery is pared with its own device so there was no need to replace it and its probably still around 92-96% battery health
bitch shutup, nothing will happen if you use the phone correctly you dipshit
@@AzmiMaulanaHamdani Yeah... No. You're wrong here. Only way a bent battery should be fixed, is by being replaced. There's no right way to use it, other then throwing it out. But... Maybe if you BELIEVE hard enough... Anything could be possible. o.o??? LOL
