I literally just received an email reply from Justin Muckenhirn from Vortex. I actually asked him where the various series of binos were made and assembled. He said the current Razor HDs were made in China which was a little surprising. The UHDs remain made in Japan with US assembly.

No matter if diamondback hd series is made in china. It is a great binoculars for the price, better than crossfire, vanquish, raptor, and better than more another binoculars products! Not all made in china products is bad, for example the original jbl portable speackers is made in china, and is verry good products, also the fake jbl speackers is made in china and is very bad speakers!

They have moved ALL of their binocular production to China....garbage. I don’t give a crap how good their warranty is, if is says made in China...I wouldn’t take them for free. Had the Razor HDs, and they were okay....but still not great. I went back to Steiner, and was way happier. Last week I bought a pair of Swarovski EL 10x42 and they are SO MANY levels above Vortex, it is not even a comparison. I have looked through several Leica and Zeiss....and the Swaros are the best in my opinion....if I were to buy ANYTHING other than Swarovski, from this point forward, the only optics I would even consider, are Maven. Made and tested in the USA, with the best Japanese glass....not on the same level as Swaro, but you get customer direct, so no middle man markup...so if you were to pay 1500-1650 from a store, that same quality optic will cost you around 1000$ from Maven, and their warranty is as good as Vortex. But I am happy with my ELs, and don’t see me ever getting rid of these.

😂😂 ohh look at me, i can buy expensive things, long live for the swallows. China is over the US every single day in the manufacturing and producing world. 90% of things u use everyday are made in China

As of 2018 - Made In China. That means support for the communists.

Thats why i bought a Swarovski. Price difference was difficult but felt good to give china THE FINGER. I bought a 'hawke' red dot. The box had "born in Italy". When i got it out of the box it was stamp "made in china".

@@billortloff4215 Well done on the Swara's. You'll feel better, treat them better and revere them for life. Let's hope your kids look after them.
For me, I prefer German Steiner and Zeiss at the high end. Cheap models means Chinese glass.
"Built in Germany" doesn't stop them putting Chinese glass in the models.
Always buy high end and, as you say, give China the middle finger.
      Cheers and Merry Christmas :-)

China is our economic, military, and political foe. I avoid supporting the people that will one day harm Americans.
