I was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa at just 4 years old and began public speaking at age 5. I started just doing motivational speaking, but now I make videos and even model!       Molly, a random tidbit: most custom orders that get returned end up in converse outlet stores (like the vacaville outlets in CA, for example). This is how the outlets end up with a lot of funky prints, sizes, etc.

    You got better service out of that company than I did. I bought custom platform converse and they fell apart a week after I got them. I begged for supervisor, and they kept saying...one will contact you. Never did. I would have to beg for a response from just a regular customer service agent after I would send them required information that they requested from me...yet wouldn’t ever respond again. They refused an exchange and would only do a refund after they got the shoes back, and then I could reorder again for myself. I returned them and bought from Vans. Screw converse. Oh! And I had to contact them for my refund after they got my shoes because they didn’t give me a refund!

      I think I'm most irritated by the blatant favoritism shown upon mentioning her CZcams status. The same level of care should go into each and every pair of shoes created. It's so disheartening when brands send nicer products to influencers but don't care what the "average" customer receives. I absolutely love Molly and I'm so glad her issue was sorted out in the end but her influencer status should not have to be brought up in order for the situation to be resolved.

      @@Ash-tk2sn I completely agree but it's worth noting again that even after I mentioned she was an influencer, it was still abysmal service. They just didn't care. What was most upsetting to me was when I said she is blind, and that the ordering process takes over an hour for her, we were told the only option would be for her to redo the order, which turned out to be a total lie because later they replicated the order. Molly's in a position where she has an assistant but most people don't, for them to be so uncaring to someone in that position really put me off.

    The "third" pair of shoes was ACTUALLY the first pair that got shipped back to the warehouse. That is how there was no need to reorder and no six week waiting period.
    On a side note tho they are cute.

      Oh my god this fully explains the video to me if Nike owns converse now. I have had the most difficult and most painful customer service experience of my life when I had to order customized Nikes for work. I’m an event coordinator and we planned an event for a bunch of CEOs and executives and we planned for their welcome bag to include a customized Nike Air Force ones..... I had the same experience that Molly had but x80... because I had to order 80 shoes.
      Tbh I ended up crying on the phone with my “Melissa” and no one from Nike would even help me. It was connecting calls putting me in circles. Or saying it wasn’t their fault.

    I'm a web developer and accessibility is SO important. I have a screen reader at work that I turn on and use to test our website. It's surprising a lot of the "easy" things you can do (for example, alt text) that make such a huge difference.

      Most companies are also inaccessible to deaf users. For instance my other half needed to talk to his insurer. They only provided a phone number and no email or live chat.
      Companies in general don’t think when it comes to accessibility which is really upsetting

    For your peace of mind, I work for Nike World Headquarters here in Oregon (who own Converse). Most of those shoes that can't be sold are sold to employees for a very discounted rate. So they were not likely destroyed!

    I am a blind Viewer so I personally can’t see them but I love Converse so I would definitely buy them!!! I am not sure that I would custom them myself at least from Converse but if I did I would do all light blue with pink and purple stars on the side purple laces and write something like dream beyond the starsLove your videos molly :-) much love Esli

    Omg this is super weird how they:
    Managed to spell it wrong
    Managed to get mesa’s name on the package
    The first time she has to remake the design, but the second time everything was perfectly fine
    It shipped WAY faster the third time

      Third order was likely the first pair of shoes that they bothered finding in their panic to save their reputation with a popular CZcamsr.

      I thought the third time was just the second order mesa recreated being resent by UPS after the second failed delivery since they hadn't returned them to sender yet like the first ones.

      @@Alena-cq1ze My thinking: The first order was sent back to Converse by UPS, the shoes with the spelling issues were the ones Mesa ordered (second pair) and were able to be redelivered because they were still at the delivery terminal in Molly's town when she called them, then the replacements for those were the first pair that made their way back to Converse and were likely looked for and found. Considering how fast the second replacement pair was received, I highly doubt Converse could have pulled that off without already having a pair made. Converse had stated previously that they can't pull up details of a custom order after it is completed, so how else would they have been able to "remake" the "third" pair of shoes without them having to reorder again?

    i don’t know if it is because i worked at amazon taking calls from angry people, but i felt so bad for the representatives that took her calls. the way she told the story remebered me a lot of the customers that i tried to help that had such an attitude. we always got treated like dirt for stuff that wasn’t our fault directly, and it felt so bad. i get why they get mad but i wish they remembered that we’re still people and not machines. it’s not just molly, just people in general

    I know I’m a little behind everyone but I just have to say I absolutely love your videos and you’re style. I’ve played around with custom designing my shoes but have never bought a pair because I’m afraid I won’t actually like them 🤷‍♀️😂.
    But literally Converse had One Job and that was to Transfer a Pre Typed Stamp onto a shoe and they managed to mess it up smh 🤦‍♀️
