Sniper Elite 5 has a bonus tenth mission that players can purchase as DLC called Wolf Mountain and, in series tradition, tasks you with killing Adolf Hitler. While this is a mission with the utmost importance, this mission carries on the structure of the main campaign missions with there also being a few smaller Optional Objectives that you have the opportunity to complete as you make your way towards Hitler’s Alps Mountain villa. This video will show players how to complete all the Optional Objectives for Mission 10: Wolf Mountain in Sniper Elite 5.
    • 1 Find Hitler
    • 2 Neutralize Radio Communications
    • 3 Neutralize Anti-Air Guns
    • 4 Assassination & Exfiltration
In the heart of the Bavarian Alps, the Berghof villa stood as a symbol of power and fear. It was here that the Führer, surrounded by his loyal guards, felt most secure. Little did he know, his end was near, orchestrated by one of the most skilled snipers of the Allied forces, Karl Fairburne.
Karl Fairburne, an American-British sniper with unmatched precision and stealth, had been tasked with a mission that could change the course of history. His target: the Führer himself. Armed with his trusty rifle and a Schü-mine 42, a German anti-personnel mine, Karl made his way through the dense forests and rugged terrain of the Alps.
Under the cover of night, Karl approached the heavily guarded villa. He knew that a direct confrontation would be suicide, so he devised a plan that relied on his cunning and expertise. He carefully placed the Schü-mine 42 near the entrance of the villa, ensuring it was hidden from sight but positioned to cause maximum damage.
As dawn broke, the Führer stepped out onto the terrace, unaware of the danger lurking beneath his feet. Karl, hidden in the shadows, watched through the scope of his rifle, his finger poised on the trigger. The moment the Führer took a step forward, the mine detonated with a deafening explosion, sending shockwaves through the villa.
In the chaos that ensued, Karl took his shot. The bullet found its mark, and the Führer fell, his reign of terror brought to an abrupt end. Karl quickly disappeared into the forest, leaving behind a scene of destruction and confusion.
The news of the Führer’s assassination spread like wildfire, igniting hope among the oppressed and striking fear into the hearts of his followers. Karl Fairburne had accomplished the impossible, altering the course of history with a single, well-placed shot and a carefully laid trap.
The Schü-mine 42 (Schützenmine 42, "rifleman's mine model of 1942") was a German anti-personnel mine used during the Second World War. It consisted of a simple wooden box with a hinged lid containing a 200-gram (7.1 oz) block of cast TNT and a ZZ-42 type detonator.[1] A slot in the lid pressed down on the striker retaining pin, sufficient pressure on the lid caused the pin to move, releasing the striker which triggered the detonator.
The mine was cheap to produce and deployed in large numbers. As an early example of a minimum metal mine, it was difficult to detect with early metal detectors - the only metal present was a small amount in the mine's detonator
Experience has shown that the mine detector search coil must pass very close to the mine before any reaction is obtained. Detection is still more difficult when the search is made in ground containing shrapnel. Also it is hard to locate the Schu mine by observation or probing because it is relatively small.
