Thanks for watching! if you like the video HIT the THUMBS up đ
Think you should do a vid on the royal hotel, that would be awesome. Love the vids đđŒ
Personally I don't like too many amusements on the seafront Weymouth gardens Beautiful
Iv'e been coming here since I was little and has not changed that's why I love it so much!
:-)
As someone who lives in Weymouth this gives an amazing different view. We get so used to it, as it is we donât think of all the little bits like a holiday maker would so much.
The raking of the beach is amazing, but Weymouth can also have an active night life at times, though you would never know what had happened in the morning, as there are AMAZING teams who fully clean the town overnight too.
Born and bred Weymothian. We have 'Grockle days' to make the most of where we live
I've often said the same thing. Having lived here my whole life, it's easy to take for granted everything around us.
Many happy memories of Weymouth, I was in Portland in the Navy in 1985 and spent nearly every weekend in Weymouth and had a good nightlife back then too. There was a nightclub called the Steering wheel.
I was last there in August 2019. I love the fact that it remains a lovely seaside resort typical of the South West. In contrast Bournemouth and Poole are definitely more 'South Coast'.
Whatâs the main difference, do you think?
Hi Tim - The quayside between the bridge and the pavilion is where they filmed some scenes for the film 'Dunkirk'. In the film, a fishing boat leaves from Weymouth to rescue soldiers from Dunkirk beach. In the movie, you can recognise the exact location where they filmed and even see the pavilion in the background.
oh did they .. ill watch that again
you could also see the old sealife tower in the cinema version at least, might have been edited out in digital copies
Beautiful place the British coastline is stunning and Weymouth looks as enchanting as anything abroad, love your videos as i have never seen most of these places they open ideas for visiting. Thanks đ
Glad you like them!
Weymouth's my favourite place to holiday in the UK. I love it.
same here
I went to Weymouth the last 2 Septembers, i went in July this year and the difference between the amount of people wer unbelievable. Weymouth is by far my favourite place on Earth and actually moving down here in a few months.
Makaio .
We used to go EVERY year here as a child camping.
Loved it so much we decided to move there( outskirts)
Lived there for nearly 40yrs
You're moving there good luck
We welcome you down đ
Did you move there mate?
My favourite place on earth, too! Got married here during COVID. Hopefully, being able to move there eventually!
I was surprised to see all this beauty. Thank you my good friend for sharing this beautiful video of yoursâ€â€â€â€
I stayed in Weymouth summer 2021 & really enjoyed it. Exploring the coastline to Osmington Mills, visiting Nothe Fort & also a bus trip to the Isle of Portland. However, the latter didn't go according to plan with my intention to walk to the Portland Bill lighthouse. I kinda got lost along the coast path as sections of it were closed off due to cliff erosion which meant several detours.
Somehow, I ended up in a field with horses which was surrounded by an electric fence đŠ I managed to carefully clamber over it but by the time I found myself back on the right track, the weather was starting to close in from Weymouth so I had to find my way back,... I never did get to Portland Bill âčïž
I did find an unknown area surrounded by lots of stone carvings (mostly animals) on the way though so it wasn't a complete bust.
Excellent video again Tim. Us two old Bluecoats still wallowing in our very happy memories of this town and the Riviera. Love the beautiful skies in your film and the colours are beautiful. Thanks for doing this and sharing.
you are welcome mike
Thank you for making my home look so inviting! Lived here all my life and am forever grateful and know how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place!
Hope you loved your stay! â€
You are welcome
Just rewatching the Weymouth blog. Definitely on my wishlist for visiting. The sun was out & shining for you Tim much nicer weather for you than last night. The coloured beach huts & buildings look amazing. I think the Beach Huts on Wheels were mainly for Victorian Ladies so they could get changed & they were pulled out to the sea on wheels again for modesty reasons, it was risque in the 1900's to show legs! Loving all these's blogs I was stuck on a Bus & worrying I wouldn't get home to watch this video at 5pm! I just made it!
Hi Tim. Your Weymouth video brought back memories of our last family holiday. One where cousins aunts uncles all together. Two weeks of great fun and laughter.
Iv been to waymouth ever since I was born so I can see such a difference now xx
Great weather as always Tim. Lovely vlog thank you looks fab.
Great video Tim! One of my most favourite seaside destinations!! Lovely beach and harbour as well as some great eateries. I am desperate to go again now it has been a good few years! I did used to stay in the blue Bed & Breakfasts which you filmed. Bedford Hotel mostlyâŠ
Thank you for this video⊠I was born and raised in Weymouth but have been living in Poole (not far away) for the past 13 years. I found your video really interesting and informative, enjoyed seeing some of the more recent changes to the town as well as the nostalgia from the parts that form my childhood memories⊠and have just watched the Riviera video which Iâll comment on separately but enjoyed just as much đ
means a lot thank you
I watched the pier being blown up back in 1986! I also remember when they used to have scheduled British Rail trains running all the way down the quayside to the harbour.
Passed through Weymouth looks a really lovely place. Thanks for the video Tim
I'm quite an often visitor to Weymouth so looking forward to this video.
its one of my fav places
Agreed!
Iâve just got back from Weymouth, itâs my favourite place to go on holiday in England. Itâs so beautiful â€
My girls loved Weymouth when they were young, me and the wife still pop back for a holiday now and again, might take the grandson next year, thanks for the great videos Tim.
thanks for watching Mark
a bit behind with your videos but once again thank you for the beautiful video. i am bedridden and can't go on holiday, it always feels like a mini holiday, it's really so nice
Wonderful video, Our closest beach and as a teenager would catch the train from Yeovil to weymouth lots of times in the summer. Going to there on a sunday with my nan and mum, a must was a Rossi's icecream and the family use to sit on the beach by the clock so we would know where to look after swimming...Now take grandchildren in the summer and they love it just as much....
Another great video Tim. Never visited Weymouth but it looks a lovely place and we will add to our places to visit if we ever make that trip back to the UK!!!.
Haven't been to Wearmouth for a long time, for got what it looks like. Thanks Tim!
You obviously love Weymouth well done, respect for that I 55 and been going to Weymouth since I was 8, I live in the Midlands now my kids and grandkids go, it's our special place, I'd defend Weymouth but I happy you gave it a good review, and I can sense Weymouth is special to you đ
and for a lot of people too
The White Hart Tavern is a hidden gem in the Town Centre! Lovely pub was a saviour on a rainy day.
This seaside place looks lovely so clean and the palm trees andd gardens look so cared for so much to do well worth a visit I think love your videos Tim thankyou â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžđ

Me and my family have been coming to Weymouth every year for over 21 years!!
We stay near the Rivera on the holiday park, walk along the beach into Weymouth! Hasn't changed at all for as long as I've been going!!
Wow, Weymouth is gorgeous đ would love to visit it someday.
My colleague visited Weymouth with her family this year and was raving about it. So much so, I've pencilled in a visit for next year!

Brings back some memories.
Half expect to see you wonder past along Canvey seafront one day.

Before watching this I remember Weymouth as a kid growing up, went there twice a year every year in the 60s and 70s always went to littlesea camp site, outside toilets , had to get water from the taps outside, but the beach was always amazing đ
Another cracking video Tim!Well done.
Many thanks!
The seaside..........i really wish i were there, thanks so much for sharing, a new friend here. And yes watching your video, I`d visit Weymouth any day(in the summer ofcourse)
Hello Tim,it looks so nice at Weymouth, walking round wit the sun out makes it more better.brilliant view from the beach.
thanks Steven
I tend to stay in / near Dorchester, this gives me chance to explore inland to Shaftesbury and Sherborne but also down to Weymouth
just stumbled across your channel, as a solo traveller i think this is gonna be a very handy resource! subbed!

Hi Tim ! Just came back Sunday from Dorset. Love Weymouth beautiful beach and lovely views of the jurassic coast. Swanage is another great little seaside town you would enjoy a walk round there . Thankyou for sharing with us love to you as always Tracey đ xxxx
thanks for watching Tracey
Another classic beauty! I love these seaside towns.
They are!
Live in Bournemouth and regular visitor to Weymouth for about 35 years, also Swanage, well worth a visit and video, Lyme Regis also very beautiful, I'm not the most travelled person in the world but I must say shanklin on the Isle of Wight is a favourite of mine, great vid tim, would love to see the places I've mentioned in a video, will keep an eye out đ
Lovely video, the place looks beautiful. You really packed a lot into your 13 minute video . Thank you for sharing.
I thought some would think its not long enough
Thanks for that Tim, haven't been there for about 25 years..It's still beautiful..x
thanks for watching Linda
And wehn i went it was the first time i heard the south accent, found a lovely book shop still looks amazing must vist sometime in the future, thanks tim kind regards.
wow another Beautiful place its like a mixture of other seasides in one
Lovely video Tim. Another one of my favourite places especially Sand World is one of my favourite atractions in Weymouth
Thanks Nathan
I love Weymouth and now my parents donât live too far from from here. Remember visiting as a child always a popular destination
Great video. George the third made Weymouth famous, it was his favourite holiday resort. His son Prince Rupert (Regent) prefered Brighton. Great Statue of George !
This video highlights what makes my hometown pretty. The nothe fort and gardens is also stunning in the sunshine. Also sandsfort beach and castle. chesil beach also. but yeah the main beach is pretty as well as the old buildings. Shame that theres lack of shopping really and most supermarkets are moved out of town but its still a great tourist destination.
Agree
This is a very attractive looking seafront. Nice retro details.
i was born here , feels amazing to see it again , will visit sometime
Thanks for the walk around Weymouth Tim , it was great. Trust you Gaby and family are all ok.
They are! thanks Michael
Hi Tim thanks for bringing back so many memories.
My childhood home town!
No Punch and Judy any more.
The end by the Pavilion used to have a sewage pipe ( not sure if it still does) so not the nicer end
West Bay and Bridport are just up the road and are worth a visit! We have shops in West Bay and itâs such a quaint little place with lots of little kiosks. We obviously have the enormous sandstone cliffs which are stunning. Broadchurch was filmed in West Bay several years ago but I donât think people realise because they didnât use the name in the show.
Bridport is lovely too, very arty with plenty of coffee shops and a thriving market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Thereâs St. Michaels trading estate which has lots of art studios and antique shops (which I think used to have a Sunday market too!).
Thereâs an open top Jurassic coastline bus which is in its last couple of weeks of operation for the season which is a beautiful way of travelling the coastline and stopping off along the way!
Don't forget seatown!! not Seaton 2 totally different places đ€Ł
just been there a few weeks ago, got so inspired by the electric palace amusements, i composed a 40 min ambient piece about it. great shops around the little streets in town.
Love Weymouth & Iâve not been there for years hasnât changed & thanks for sharing đ€
you are welcome Sam
Just love Weymouth I have some great memories of this place from teenage to present day đčđ»
I'd also recommend heading to the other side of the harbour up the hill to the Nothe Fort and Nothe Gardens where you get some fantastic views of Weymouth and in the other direction, Portland. There's also a nice little cafe at the bottom of the hill called the Stone Pier Cafe where you can sit right on the water.
yes was supposed to film but the weather took a turn for the worse
A nice video on Weymouth - despite working in Weymouth and visiting numerous times you highlighted some things I hadn't seen before. Nothe Fort is worth a visit - you used to be able to catch a row boat ferry across the harbour near the pavilion. I don't think I have seen you cover Swanage yet (it's a bit of a mini Weymouth) maybe worth a look.
yes weather turned so didn't get chance to look
Great quality photography Tim . Not visited Weymouth yet but this has whetted my appetite
thanks Phil! give it ago
Love Weymouth. My favourite place in Britain. Hopefully looking to move there in next few years
My family has been going to Weymouth, Iâd say for about 100 years, this is my 16th year going, iâm 16 and going next month, even though I know what to expect, I watched this entire video, I just love it, itâs my comfort place đ
I haven't watched your video yet but cant wait to see it. i can say as a resident here, no if i lived else where i wouldn't visit here but mainly because i know the hidden bits... watching now. yes it does flood down there lol. really badly.
Beautiful area this is Tim. Weymouth is gorgeous and inviting for all. âïž
thanks Melissa
Lovely place to visit. A Great vlog Timđ
Many thanks billy
I love weymouth, spent most of my life there at my nans till she passed away, now me and my other half try go a couple times a year đđŒ
Beautiful coastline and gardens. Thanks Tim. Greetings from Lancaster Co, Pennsylvania USA. đ Have a nice Autumn with your family! đ
Thanks, you too!
Wow the sand sculpture was always there as a kid and the beach always had a Punch and Judy show đ
Cracking vid tim âïžđŹđ„đïž
thank Simon
We have been going to Weymouth twice a year ,Late April and 2nd week in September for 40 years, we was there all last week, we stay at waterside holiday park ,its 5* warning but never stay at the Riviera its so run down its falling apart ,only gripe I have with Weymouth is not enough toilets at the town end and the ones there are in bad shape ,we always go into the pub lol 2 pubs I can highly recommend is "The rooms" over by the beer warehouse, and "The ship inn" both fantastic food and not over priced
How I love Weymouth, some beautiful memories made there đ
Do like Weymouth brings back childhood memorys when my parents use to get the Boat Train there when we use to go to Jersey. The train use to go through the town to the docks,
Hi Tim, thank you for your stream yesterday in London

Nice job thanks Tim. Makes me feel nostalgic for Weymouth. Donât think I appreciated it as a boy growing up. Left Weymouth in '81 and the UK in '89. Will be back in the summer I hope.
Been going to Weymouth since I was 5 it is my happy place
Our favourite holiday destination and home from home. Our 5th visit this year coming up next month, and our 6th in November!
great beach! if only this was closer to me
Nice part of the country, I really like it down there. I can remember the harbour railway trains that went down the street on a tramway. I think all the tracks have been pulled up now which is a shame. Anyway nice vlog Tim
tracks still there but connection to mainline severed
@@highpath4776 ok thanks for that info
Very much shows how the South Facing coastal resorts can afford to keep going (more sun), where some of the Northern facing (Rhyl)and eastern ( on the Lincs coast) suffer from loss of long-term (1/2 week) visitors as the overseas warm and fun places took young and families away.
I live a 25 minute car ride/train ride from Weymouth. Been going there ever since I was a kid
Love this!!
thanks sam
It reminds me a little of Whitby Weymouth, it looks so nice never been I have been to Devon and Cornwall which I found to be great
If you go a bit further up behind the riviera hotel there's a lovely little part of beach surrounded by rock were you can snorkel, what a place!!!! â€ïž
Thanks for showing my home town itâs a beautiful place
My pleasure đ
Great vid Tim...We had our first holiday there when we first got married in 1981. We had a Mini Metro and it cost us ÂŁ6 in fuel to get there from Leicester đ
wow well try coming from Norfolk lol
@@WalkWithMeTim I bet you didn't see much fuel left out of ÂŁ100 round trip?
Its a nice place last went 1980's back this place is nice and clean, i love skeg but this place is really nice so pretty and such amazing views.
I absolutely love Weymouth. Its me and my partners go to, cheap holiday location staying at a haven. I'm excited to go again now haha
:-)
An interesting place to visit! I don't know why but it reminds me of some European fishing town. Cheers, Tim. đ
