This is what Ive been looking for, "a showcase"..
Not just "how to kill this", "how to get", "no damage", i just want a showcase of skills, weapons, and armors
Thanks for the video
Same. The content farming has been the most ridiculous part of this game. It looks like the cares enough to really make something spectacular.
Exactly, and the last and only one I could find was for the demo, which only had like five spells.
I want showcases before I play the game and not "how to get" videos, because I want to experience the game as fresh as possible! I want to try to find the items MYSELF!
How dare I avoid spoilers!
Uhhuh, and you realize that dude isn't that level legit or got any of the spells or even probably knows how to play the game. This is when you ho on pc into the code and mod it.
Exactly. Straight to the point. No misleading title or anything. Honest content.
I've always been a fan of the big Fu lazers even if they're not practical its about sending the message. But I have to say i'm kinda partial to shooting a moon at someone. Haha!
Rennala's Full Moon is at 4:22
Ranni's Dark Moon is at 4:37
I really wish that there are more Spells like these two.
I’m oddly in love with the bubble spells. The potential disrespect from being killed by bubbles makes me giddy.
The comet Azur can be practical with high int and a large mana pool, or use the mix potion that grants no mana cost for 14s
@@FearThyWave Honestly, if you and your invader are fighting in a tight ebvironment, say, narrow corridors of a small platform, it can be used to trapping, denying them of areas to move into.
Plus, the mana cost is so fucking cheap abd the cast time is disgustingly fast.

I love how the magic in Elden Ring is more creative and stylish. The ones in the Dark Souls always felt stale where you use them only because they are good rather than fun, and where it does somehow more interesting in Dark Souls 3, most of them were not useful and still fall into the stale playstyle. This is all my personal opinion playing through the games of course.
comes pretty close to dragon's dogma
Yeah i get what you mean. The design of the dark souls games are all affected by having everything feel bleak and dead. I love how elden ring is so much more expressive and lively with its designs
@@bolson42 it really is perfect. It's bright and colorful in some spots and bleak and dark in others. It has a little bit of everything.
I love the variety and utility, terra magicus is one of my favorites so far.
Dark souls sorcery always felt like you were only able to deal damage with blue particle effects and nothing more. That’s why I always leaned on golden sorceries.
@@ardk1260 they really went all out with spells in Elden Ring.
Really digging the fact that a lot of these spells are chargeable. Like you can charge the first shot before getting into combat for a boost. So cool

I am thoroughly impressed with how far FromSoft has come. It's flooded with weapons, armor, spells, summons, ashes of war, and enemies to use them on. A near endless amount of content awaits any player who picks up this game. I'm so looking forward to the dlc and future ER titles to come.
This is hands down game of the year. Only other games that might even come close to touching this are GoW 2 or BotW 2 if they release this year.

Yeah Rannala's and Ranni's Spells are the most stylish spells a sorcerer can have too bad they require you to have 70+ INT!!! God that's some dedication.
It's meant to be an end game spell. 60 int endgame is very easily attainable.

I really like how most of these have the same motif, which is stone. From magical stones, to ice (cold rocks) to magma (really really hot rocks). It's a really cool bit of worldbuilding as you can see the base for most sorceries.
Could it also just be that it was easier to make everything clear and blue? Lol
@@mrloski2915 Could be both
This showcase is clean and well edited. Thank you for this. :)
The gravity spells look amazing, and the highest investment is 36 int. They’ve purposefully crafted spells for hybrid classes this time around and it’s got me excited. You can conceivably have a nice arsenal with 20-25 int investment and maybe around 150-200 fp
You'd do pretty pitiful damage though. With the ash of war system it's honestly better to invest in the bare minimum in physical stats to wield your weapon one handed and then pump straight intelligence after changing its scaling. The only reason to hybrid class would be for the spells that require both intelligence and faith.
@@Christian-px2jw I’ve got 18 int right now with a build that mostly runs melee and only 15 in mind. It’s been extremely useful so far, I beat the magma dragon with ease because of the rock throw spell. Early/mid game it’s very powerful
@@cwhip2432 Fair enough, I'd still say you'll probably get more out of your damage overall if you decided to not spread your stats too thin, but maybe I was just building wrong.
@@Christian-px2jw well I typically roll quality builds my first play through, so I can sift through all the weapons to see what I like, but I did some character planning and at 120 you can have
44 vit
25 mind
28 end
38 str
30 dex
18 int
9 faith
7 arcane
This game is far different on min-maxing as well. The negative returns for several stats are far higher in certain categories. And example is you can increase casting speed up to level 70 in dex, before any diminishing results.
@@cwhip2432 At 18 int level 120 you aren't going to be doing enough damage to do anything, guaranteed. I'm running a build that currently has 60 int, a damage increase staff, two sorcery boosting talismans and a spell to boost magic and a magic boosting wondrous physick, and even then I really think my spell damage could honestly be better. You're better off pumping up your dex and grabbing a bow.
interesting little tidbit, every spell flashes a seal when casted that hints at their origin, with only a few exceptions.
the most consistent one is the carian family seal on all academy spells and volcano manor seal on all of theirs.
sellia spells all flash the seal for the town of sellia, but that seal is also shared by crystalian spells and nightmaiden's mist, which came from nokron, hinting at a relation between the three and somewhat explains why a town of sorcery exists so far from the academy.
undead spells flash the cursemark of death, so uh...no shit.
the most mysterious one is graivty spell seals, which i've never seen before. they originate from a different faction but radahn learned them in sellia.
the sealless spells are spells that are of unconventional origin or independent practitioners. primal sorceries, which come from the primal current. snow crone spells since the crone is independent. and briar spells, which are incantations so fuck those.
the odd duck out is lucidity, which is undeniably carian but has no seal.
Nokron is under Sellia. An item description mentions it, but can't remember the item off the top of my head.
@@jacobmclemore it's eternal darkness, says it's regarded as a forbidden spell of Selia but its true roots lie in Nokron
The gravity spells come from the Alabaster and Onyx Lords, kind of like aliens or something. They have stone skin, that's who Radahn learned the gravity magic from. The seal is unique, because it's a significantly more complex arcane matrix, rather than being a more stylized one used by spells from other places.
I noticed this originally from mohgs incantations that all flash his insignia before casting and its really noticable
One that caught me as weird is the Tibia Mariner's Summons don't have the cursemark of death shown when cast. Either an oversight or meant to imply that the mariners are somehow seperate? Seems unlikely given they actively drop deathroot. Probably either an oversight or they figured having those who live in death in the description would be enough of a hint.
Thanks a lot man this is exactly what I was looking for and just wow sorceries look amazing
Definitely going to have to do a magic build on my second playthrough! This looks so fun.
Or as I did I did my respec my points into a magic build
@@kuenixx26 Maybe I will give it a try!

@@griffithdidnothingwrong7117 Let people play what they want they'll judge for themsleves if it's boring or not. Smh keyboard warrior
Would heavily recommend a moonveil build if you’re going dex int. The weapon art is incredible, does a lot of damage and breaks poise easy plus it can cause bleed damage.
Mages have a ton more anti mage spells now than before. Making mage battles a lot more interesting if people actually use them.
DS3 mage Vs mage battles were basically just who could hit crystal soul spear first, thank God it won't be like that anymore

Precisely what I was looking for. Thanks!
You know, I have to believe that The Convergence mod is partially responsible for the variety of spells and the power behind them in Elden Ring. Look at DS3 vs Elden Ring and it’s night vs a day on the sun
Modders will do literal "magic" with this game
I was thinking this same thing tbh
@@komarkko1 Not really. They come out fast and a lot of them use the same animations. They also hit like trucks from the people who’ve invaded me. It’s hard to dodge even the easy ones sometimes because the animations are deceptive. It also seems like mana pools are quite generous once you hit mid level mages
@A Lone Loser almost every spell I have so far hits hard as hellim interested to see how they'll hold up after NG+
@@komarkko1 for pvp magic is still in a weird spot. The simple low cost spells are still better in nearly all use cases. But in pve you can learn so many spells and they all hit so hard that nearly everything can be used if you want to. Even the slow lumbering orbs can be busted op if you know how to lure enemies to them. Only the npc invaders behave like a player so no one else will really try to intelligently evade magic. The status clouds are especially lethal in pve since most enemies don’t even register it as an attack so they just sit in them or walk at you.
Shattered Earth makes me think of Gandalf's "You Shall Not Pass!!"

Greatblade phalanx be like:
"I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING"
I remember the prisoner's starting spell thats like Vergil's summons swords was cool
but all of these spells are so wild and crazy, its like they let a modder create spells for them. usually developers don't have such wild crazy ideas and so many at that.
I hope they expand on blood magic in dlc. I'm amazed by the variety but I had been hoping for more blood stuff and I'd love to see what else they could make with it

And moon sorceries, came here looking for more but turns out there’s only 2 and they are practically the same :/
@@fishy2140 I was surprised there wasn't at least a Crescent Moon version of the Glintstone Arc.
There’s about 6 blood oriented spells. You have briars of sin/punishment which is two and then for incantations, theres Bloodboon, Blood talons and Swarm of flies. I use them all in combination with Rivers of blood katana and Malenia’s blade for regen (also use lord of blood Exultation which increases damage when bloodloss occurs) It’s literally a vampire/blood mage build and it’s so much fun.
