The vocal effects are there for a valid reason. The character Brittney plays is an Artificial Intelligence, transferred into an android. It's to emphasise she's not human.
This is an experimental album where they are trying new sounds and technology. To me, this is a banger. Music is unique to each person's ear so I also respect those that may not vibe with it.
Cleanse the Bloodlines if my fav from UTA, just sharing.
If you want to hear raw Brittney listen to Tonight We Ride
i don't think this is the weakest track i don't even know if its the last one on the album but her whipping her beautiful long hair around like floor jansen of nightwish its cool that Vancouver BC Canada is creating power metal melodic death metal edm 80's synth vibe like the beautiful fade out that this song and a few others have like seeking vengeance has that cool fade out outro
I agree Joel, was not a fan at the start with the auto tune effects, and the drums at the end had a weird, hollow, sort of listening through a cardboard tube or something. But I know they were being a bit more experimental with this album, so I guess they are trying new things. I did enjoy the song overall, however, but I don't think it is their best.
The sound was intentional for various pieces of this concept album about AI. You picked the weakest track on the album
