He was busted as fuck so he needed some tuning but part of me wishes they kept him the same. I play a very honest hatchets build with no ninjutsu or onmyo abuse and this boss wooped me harder than Isshin or Ludwig or Kos ever did. He's much better now for healthy gameplay.
he was insane before the nerfs. On the run i beat him i literally got lucky asf to even pull it off. I had pulled all the cheese i had to beat him. On my channel is the attempt i beat him on if you care to see my suffering lol
This boss is ... A test of patience, persistence and timing. One mistake will likely make you end up at the shrine. I actually thought of quitting the game at him but this is how I felt with Nioh 1 Yuki-onna & Maria. Come back later with positivity and beat the **** out of them!
The only way to deal with how fast he was before patch was to man up and hit him right in his head when he came at you. But if you missed by even a second he'd pretty much just kill you.

one thing that helped me in several times is when you are focus on dodging those crazy attacks, change to low stance for your ki recovery faster.. and for better dodging.
Anyone have an imperative strike orange or white inheritable trait glove that they want to trade for something? I have iai damage, moonlit damage, and some other ones i dont really remember rn
What were the nerfs exactly. Btw why don't people just break the tusks. Was it not allowed in the pre-nerf? Because the guy becomes like an innocent lamb after that.

They nerfed this boss hard in the previous patch. He was toxic as fuck before the nerf and I kind of wish they kept him the same but I understand why they fixed him. He was way too fast for a boss with so much HP.
The game is not that hard, it's the stupid ridiculous amount of damage these bosses do, it's like upgrading Life and Ki stats doesn't really help. I like hard games myself but this game right here is a straight piece of sh*t because it kills the fun.
I guess I'm the minority because this boss never troubled me as much as it seems to stonewall people who aren't cheesing with infinite ninjutsu/sloth+omnyo to the max. Brute Counter helps a lot because you don't have to wait for him to swing his big combo. The Nagamasa armor set also was amazing, that sweet -20% Ki for dodge helped a lot to dance around his blows.
Same I died to him once because my controller died people who complain just don't want to put in the work and just beg for nerfs and things to be handed to them.

I have never seen a guy having more fucking luck in his runs, while i get charge charge charge + charge charge charge + spin all the time this guy has the boss 50% of time with the back towards him. I dunno if he only films 3 of the 45 trys, or he just get the perfect fights. Btw, fuck katanas, broken ass shit makes same damage as an axe with triple speed.

Patience is what it comes down to. I struggled for 3 hours put the game down slept came back and beat him in a few tries after calming myself

Back on the 1.05 patch this boss was truly the hardest boss because it was so hard to dogde his charge attacks.. it was nearly impossible.
