I have a 12 by 24 square in my backyard. Fenced all around to protect against deer and animals. I do container gardening...tomatoes, cukes, lettuce, spinache, zucchini, eggplants, peppers, strawberries, melons, rosemary, mint, basil, and other herbs. My backyard is fenced all around by 50ft tall pines but it's on the west side so I get about 7 to 8 hrs full sun. I've had a few years to THINK about space and what strategies would work best. I learned quite a bit...my biggest jump in observable data. My fence is topped all around with grape vines (so many grapes this year). I let the melons vines go across below the grapes. The outside of the fence on the west, south and north side has raspberry and blackberry bushes. An additional layer of protection against wildlife. The rest of any free space I let grow anything that grows there, even weeds. I pick them before the seed stage and just throw on top of my walking space as composte. Same with leaves from from a mulberry tree that decided to grow in a corner of my backyard. Almost nothing goes to waste snd gets recycled into organic matter. But the most important thing is, I use no pesticides. The bugs eat the mint, lemon balm, perilla (they prefer those over anything else) and leave all the vegetables and fruits alone. A few strawberries are sacrificed. The thing I focused on...harvest enough for 3 people to enjoy fresh veggies and fruits every day. That should be every person's goal, especially in the city.

Wow wonderful observations! You should make a video about that! You have a lot to share!
Do you have some tips against snails now that you're gardening in full earth?
I'm overwhelmed!
Use manure. With moisture it will make fungi, snails will eat them and not your crops
Try to make videos on kitchen gardening...
Will try
â€â€â€ good job!
Thank youuuu
"Weeds" are food and medicine
Fully agree! I made many videos on that
