I love the music in the last part of the film. I was born in Indianapolis in 1976. My dad moved there in 1970 to work at Eli Lilly. I live in New York City now because the job market was in the toilet when I finished at IUPUI in 1999.

Really interesting documentary. I'm 👩‍🏫 proud of 🙂 our Hoosier State. Indianapolis itself seems to keep up with new information on a regular basis.

What a "gem" this is! The film documentary on the city I was born and raised in for 27 of my 70 years is one that brings back in old early 1970's film footage, love and joyful memories.
I have been to many of those buildings and sites during my teen and young adult years. Saw several being built. My dad worked on "the Circle" at IPALCO ( Indianapolis Power and Light Co.) From the late 1950's till his retirement in 1981.
My folks, sisters and I all saw slow but steady changes to the city during the 50's through 1980's. As most Hoosiers from Indy know, the greatest changes have been in the last 35 years or so to all of metro Indianapolis. Everytime I visit the city on vacations generally every several years, there's more change. To me, personally...that's good and bad in that the town is losing its "personality" from long ago. Political "progressive" ideas and made-up laws have the city of Indy being another demographic culture that seems to, fo a good part, care less about the town's former historical looks. Even for some 20 and more years, the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway has greatly changed in looks and definitely in personality.
Don't misunderstand me. I like "change" to better some things IN somethings, but too much rapid change is awful for the human psychological mind to feel fond of.
I wish the "old Indianapolis "was still around like this film documentary showed. Just...improve the streets and poor neighborhoods.
