The song “Un-break my heart” is a ballad about blistering heartbreak in which Toni Braxton (the original singer) asks her previous lover to come back and continue with her, and not to break her heart by leaving. Toni is one of the top R&B singers of the world. She is a contralto singer and her voice is very husky and elegant. It is interesting that she participated in American Mask Singer Show two years ago (2021) and was eliminated immediately at the second round. Of course it is difficult to claim that there is a link between this event and choosing this song for Russian version!
Julia Parshuta is one of the most beautiful and charming vocal singers in Russia. I like her very much, as apart from being a very good singer she also has a unique moral. I remember that not long ago, when I saw the final episode of the program “Show MaskGoon”, in which Diana won the first place, Julia was so happy when Diana was announced as the winner, and she was the only one who while Diana's face was drowning in tears of joy, kissed her more than three times! This is too much very valuable for me and I have kept it in my mind.
Julia starts the famous and classic song of Toni Braxton's “Un-break my heart” in the duet in which Diana’s face is covered at the beginning. The remarkable point of the Russian example of this song is the use of two singers who both have deep and low voices. Julia, who can sing the mezzo to a great extent, and Diana, who is a unique dramatic contralto singer in the world. Maybe not using the full orchestral arrangement for this rendition will be a weakness for producers, but the mastery of both singers on the precise and standard performance and not spoiling this difficult song from which Toni had created an unattainable masterpiece (more than 10 million albums of it have been sold worldwide) has hidden this small weakness. Although I believe that Julia, as a first-rate singer, sang this song very well, but when Diana's voice is heard for the first time with those amazing low notes, it is clear that Diana will create another vocal masterpiece! In the following, the small and successive chirrup by her from the lows to the highs and vice versa, and even the last line, which is much better than Toni’s, confirms my claim. Full Stop!

This is the 3rd season of the popular Duets show on the Russia channel. The participants perform popular hits without suspecting who they are performing with in a duet. On stage, they are separated by a large glass wall, and the distorted voice of their partner sounds in the headphones. Closer to the finale of the song being performed, the wall rises, and the performers can finally see each other. All performances take place live, accompanied by an orchestra, and all numbers are recorded from a single take. So you won't hear the studio recording. This is a feature of the Duets Show.❤
