- Hi there! I've made this first tutorial about dub and reggae music on Roland MC-707. I know that it's not exhaustive, maybe I can do more videos with more information and details. Let me know with a comment! :)
Big up!

Love to see this being created purely with the 707, the drum rolls and bass sound great. For me the 707 it’s my main composition tool
Top work ! Nice to hear other genres and vibes explored on the mc 707. Love it- top vibe/sound. cheers
Great creation, sound and fun! 🔥💯🙌🏻

Man I love it, I can see that you gave really got the hang of using the mc-707. You should maybe try recording the knob movements on to several sequences and the using the pads to change the variations.
@@simonpaulherbert thanks! I’m not familiar with using clips in this way, but I will try! ;)
hey ! perhaps you are not a sound ingineer but you are very talentous !!!

This is phenomenal, thank you! Do you ever load up all 8 tracks with stems?
I'm not familiar with Looper tracks but reading about them I saw that they weren't very useful to me. I advise you to load small loops into drum tracks (you will have to adjust the envelope parameters to avoid fade outs in the samples) and build the scene as a classic sampler (mpc like). I like to build as much as possible using the synth engine for melodic parts, so I didn't make a real test of building a song with stems :(
Perfect, I really appreciate it. I will pay you for more video if you like. I want to make mostly dub and mix mix in ambient sounds and textures. I have an mx1, tr8, tr8s, mpc, elektron and electribe. Buy I like the mc 707 the most!
Wow! Very good machines there ;) Are you using the mx1 to control everything? It sounds like a bunch of cables and buttons! Love it. I'm thinking about a video about mixing on mc707 (eq, fx, sound design, etc). I'll let you know
@@dojobrossmurcia I use the mx1 to control the mc707 and tr8s via USB only. Then I use the remaining 5 analogue inputs for effects and the send/return for feedback build up. Then the remaining 2 usb inputs plus the internal digital input play back vocal chops and sirens and other samples from Ableton. Not too messy but complex setup. The MX1 is really good for bridging everything and you get all of the filters, pan, effects, sidechain and other settings from the mx1 on top as well. .
Nice work man!!
Thanks!
