- Cullen was deployed to Afghanistan for nearly eight months. My wife, Cullen's stepmom, helped Cullen and his fiance plan all the surprises. It was a wonderful day for our family - one we will never forget.

i am also in the military. I know how hard this is for families. I just recently went home for the first time in over a year. it was so hard trying not to cry. when ever I see these reunions I get choked up and miss them especially my new 6 month old niece
