Don't count on it. 'Endgame' feels like the MCU farewell to the original heroes of the first 'Avengers' film, and giving a space to the newer ones. Well, except Thor, who's probably going to be a part of the 'Guardians of the Galaxy', at least in the next film

Professor Hulk is my fav -- just a shame they didn't give him proper use in the MCU, even in Endgame.
Feels like it’s more Banner Hulk than actual Professor Hulk but it might be a streamlined take mixing Banner Hulk, Professor and Indestructible Hulk

The principal scenario, the Hulk being massive, green-skineed, and incredibly strong, while keeping Dr. Banner's memories, personality and intellect, was explored in the mainstream continuity, the MCU, and several other realities after this comic was first published. Banner under this state is usually called, officially or otherwise, "Professor Hulk."

I enjoyed the 90s run as Professor Hulk but I now enjoy Al Ewing's take on Banner as the Immortal Hulk.

The devil(immortal Hulk) was almost named Maestro by Banner.
I think it might revitalize the character in a stand-alone Hulk movie( s? ) if you had him morph into all three personas, Savage, Professor, and Fixit.
I really like the concept of Professor Hulk. All the personalities finding peace and combining to make a well rounded version feels like a great development to Banner's/Hulk's arc.

I like both versions of the Hulk, to be honest. Seeing this video reminds so much of Ang Lee's 2003 hulk film and how great it was, I love that movie.
As much I like Professor Hulk nothing beats Savage Hulk he should had a rematch with Thanos in Endgame yet never mind.

The movie didn't do the Professor Hulk ANY justice. The comic version was far more interesting.
Green Scar and Devil Hulk are better. They're stronger and strategize more. Also Devil Hulk is ruthless

you used a pic of Doc Green, instead of professor hulk, Doc Green is NOT professor hulk, he is a completely different version of the main 616 banner/hulk, also Professor hulk dose NOT have all the strength of the hulk, he has a limit to his strength, a very high one, but a limit none the less
I agree with Arris, Smart Hulk gives me fond memories of my early comic book reading days way back in the 90s as well. I remember it was the Smart Hulk version of Hulk who fought Superman in the DC vs. Marvel crossover in '96 and I always said, even back then, that it was only because of Bruce being the Smart Hulk version that Superman was able to get such an easy victory.
Professor Hulk is when I stopped buying the Hulk comics for good, I thought he was so boring compared to the Hulk I had grown up with, and just too different of a character.
Finally ,Y’all should have done this one from the jump when Endgame was coming out.

How did Banner loose control of The Hulk? What happened to Professor Hulk in the comics.
Onslaught saga. They needed savage hulk to fight onslaught. Bruce requests Jean Grey to undo Doc Samson’s treatment.
Banner was already in a dire situation. He and Hulk ended up swapping bodies at one point. So when Prof. Hulk got angry he turned into Banner but with Savage Hulk's mind. So the angrier he got the weaker he got. After Onslaught Hulk was attacked by the military (or some army) where they nuked and blew off his head. Banner went to what he thought was Hell. And met everyone who he killed. (His dad, Leader, Maestro) but then he came to terms with everything and walked out of the blast zone as Banner again. This time in his own body.
I wish they'd do this story in the movies, along with several others to expand the Hulks story and truly show how cool of a character he is
what a great back story. something that the Edward Norton's Hulk did pretty well I feel. hope one day we get another Hulk film that has his father as a greater influence or even any Hulk film
There are a bunch of people who really think savage hulk is the only accurate/valid incarnation which is really frustrating to me
The thing I wanted to see in End Game was for professor hulk to turn into savage hulk and go berserk on Thanos’s army

Great video! I thought that was weird as a kid seeing Hulk with guns until I found out when I got older that he was one personality of the Hulk!
I recall reading about a Hulk with Banner's mind a decade or two ago. The writers gave him a trait whose announcement should be a black swan event for those who read it: their Professor Hulk gave hubris a bad name. As an example, one superhero looked him in the face and said, "please don't call me 'Willard.'" Professor Hulk spent the next three panels saying that name. He was that fond of lording the Hulk's strength and invulnerability over the people around him.
There are interesting things that can be done with the character even at full physiological capabilities.

Arris, my favorite part of that comic book came when older Bruce was trying to get a response from child Bruce by slapping him. The younger Bruce ERUPTED into green Hulk ( I think) , reverted back into a child and said something along the lines of ,”You wanted a reaction. How about a nuclear reaction?” CLASSIC1!1

I remember when I first got into Hulk comics in the early 1990s being slightly annoyed with Prof Hulk being the focus during that time period. I liked Savage and the Grey much more than Prof. I did like the appearance of Savage Banner. Interesting reversal there.
Very neat I admittedly haven't read a ton of hulk comics I read Indestructible Hulk & know the jists of Planet Hulk & World War Hulk but I loved professor Hulk in Endgame & really hope to see more of him in the future.
He needs to stay like that in the MCU I wouldn't mind watching a few movies with professor hulk in it it would be a lot more interesting than just watching the hulk smash through buildings.

Fyi the thumbnail features doc green, an altered version of the savage hulk exposed to extermis, he crusaded to depower gamma mutations before choosing to let the extermis wear off after realizing he will become like the maestro, the professor hulk, depending on the comic, is either the merger of the savage hulk, joe fixit, and banner, or a personality representing banners ideal self. One thing is clear, professor is mia in the comics and after the events of the immortal hulk the only personas out now are the savage hulk and a cosmically powered joe fixit, who depending on where you see him is either a hulk with red veins or a red hulk entirely.
I REALLY like this Hulk and want him to stay like it into the mic unless things get super tough and he has to go savage and also with a vibrainium arm

After Professor Hulk in Endgame, I saw all these comments begging for 2008 Hulk to come back lol
They don't understand different interpretations or their own take on the character which this different from the comic books so their butt hurt over it typical Hulk fans
The Hulk in Endgame feels more like nerd Hulk from Ultimate Avengers or Banner's mind in control of the Hulk's body from Secret Wars. Merged Hulk had an edge to him that the Ruffalo Hulk lacked. Is it just me or did they make the Hulk a little smaller in Endgame? He towered over Thor in Ragnarok but he seemed like he was only an inch or two taller than Thor in Endgame.

Professor hulk was also in secret wars which was a crossover between almost all of the mcu which may be the end of fase 4. Mysteriously it is also the first time we see the black Spiderman suit which then became venom.
I reckon they should keep him as smart hulk but slightly adjust the rules of savage hulk. So when he gets angrier he gets bigger and stronger but also gets dummer to the point that he was in thor ragnorok so we can still see hulk smash everything and be savage and roar but we also get smart hulk.
I really hope Professor Hulk stays in the MCU!
While he doesn't really fight much, I love his personality and he seems like the best friend you wanna hang with like every day!
And Professor Hulk was one of the first versions of the character I knew growing up, along with the Savage Hulk of course.

@@johnthai6188 Well if they want to continue to sell comics, the story can't end, the story must continue, that is kind of the point, right? Smart Hulk would have been a great way to end the character in a final scene or wrap up, but they chose the wrong time. They chose the moment when the Marvel heroes were about to fight in the biggest battle of the MCU, and then the Hulk was left with basically nothing to do and now they are continuing to use him, but honestly there is really no point to his character anymore and even the appearances he is making are not that exciting or even something for fans to get pumped up about. They could have done so much more with this character and there are so many missed opportunities.
@@henryoil well i'm not talking about the mcu, i'm talking about comics. where one of the problem of comics is that it never ends. and always going back to the status quo with any character in comics, it's making the stories in the medium stale for people; these characters can never grow and change. and when a new writer comes on board, they always axe what pass writers did. that's one of the reasons why, people hated donny cates's hulk after immortal hulk.

I just hope in future movies that Hulk will eventually fly back into savage Hulk.
Locked inside is in a interesting way of putting since one of banner's colleagues believed that his abusive child hood is what gave birth to the Hulk and the gamma bomb simply brought it to the surface.
I'd like the best of three worlds, with a neutral hulk being professor hulk, a saddened/defeated hulk as banner, and an enraged hulk as savage hulk in the MCU

Banner’s monstrous incarnation of his father kind of reminds me of Hulk 2099. I wonder if THAT particular version of Hulk was a callback to this issue.
I think it would be nice if they had him stay smart, but act like the savage hulk on occasion during moments like an intense fight.
Have him rile himself up and then roar before leaping into battle like a berserker when they are about to face up against a lot of enemies.
Please arris do a video where pepper(tony's wife) wear iron man's armor to know if that happens to the comics since lots of people see pepper in the final battle of endgame
