Excellent video gentlemen! Bringing us a brand that not all of us are familiar with and explaining their story and history. Bravo.

Bremont has some of the nicest cases I've seen in their price range. As for the brand itself, they've certainly carved out their own niche in the industry. I'm predicting continued success for them as they move even more into manufacturing proprietary UK parts.

    Fine presentation.
    Thanks.
The Bremont story is a good one..
I happen to have a MBI (North Vietnam, 1972)

I heard about them while watching Long Way Up. Nice breakdown.

I’ve had a squadron custom MBII since 2017. Fantastic watch. Keeps great time. Tried to get my buddy who ejected to buy his watch but alas he is not a watch guy. Told him I’d pay for it but nope. My loss.

Maybe ask to tag along with you to a Bremont store, just to look around? With no strings attached :)

Couldn't agree more. I own an S501 and it's without doubt one of my favorite watches. Great review, many thanks

@Watches by Oliver Smith Jewelers - Trying to get my watch serviced (S501 Supermarine) and Bremont wants to send it to England for service, with no idea what it may cost. I don't think so. Is there any alternative? I love my Bremont, but I am not wearing it because it has an issue that I cannot get fixed. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

No service facility in US of which I am aware. Had to send my MBI to the NY shop , they sent it to London.

My favourite story about Bremont is about The Wright Flyer !!!

Great video! Killing me with the pronunciation though. British English, so “bray-mont” not “bree-mont.”

I really like Bremont. I have the older S300 Supermarine that came on the rubber strap. I love it, but that rubber strap was not great.
I'd like to replace it with the S300 bracelet, but that 810 price tag makes it a hard purchase to justify.

In all fairness, Bremont needs to upgrade their bracelets to match the tone of their cases and have micro-adjustment as standard. I do think at some point Cerrato will address the issue.

Ejecting from a jetplane is a nice selling point but actually, human body (with a bit of luck) has to survive that. I gues the immediate g force is greater when you drop the watches from 1 meter on the ground.

The name Bremont is named after the name of the French farm owner they had to make an emmergency landing in . This is the story

An English company with a French name, Swiss movement… but claims to bring watchmaking back to England???

    • @emphasis20
      @emphasis20 Před 5 měsíci +1

They've quite literally done that, and are just expanding their scales of operation even further at this point.

It’s a bunch of marketing bollocks…. Seriously anyone who bought these at their retail prices should be kicking themselves. Just off the shelf ETA movements with some case work. In contrast I do like what CW or Farer do without overpricing themselves like Bremont BS!

Brits perhaps need to stick with making Rolls Royce and let the Swiss make the actual nice watches … but perhaps, Brits failed with Rolls Royce as well, since the Germans from BMW make it now
